Re: The Solar Eclipse
On August 21, 2017 we will experience the first coast to coast total solar eclipse since 1918. Our region of Virginia is expected to have 92% coverage between 1:11 and 4:01. The highest amount of coverage will be at 2:39.
Since our students will be in school during this event, educators want to take full advantage of this opportunity. Some schools and PTOs have purchased safety glasses for the viewing of this event.
Release for Participation in Solar Eclipse Activities
