Carrot Lab   Look at Results/Make Conclusions –   24pts

1.      For each of the three carrot groups, first tell if your hypothesis was correct or not, then explain what actually happened. 2pts for each group

2.    Describe what happened to each carrot group by drawing pictures of the carrots in the beakers and drawing arrows to show which way water moved.  Also tell whether each group swelled or shrank.  For each picture also label which parts are hypertonic, hypotonic, or isotonic.  3 pts for each group

3.      Describe what you learned here in this lab and how you could use this information to help you if were in charge of a grocery store, or if you were trying to keep vegetables fresh in your own house. 3 pts

4.      Draw a graph that includes the masses of the carrots over the course of the lab, mass on the y axis, and date on the x-axis.  Don’t exclude days that we didn’t record from the graph. 6 points
