Announcements for Summer 2018:


T-shirts for summer training have arrived.  Each cadet attending summer training this year is entitled to two t-shirts (sizes permitting, additional shirts can be issued at you summer training centre).

Our supply officer Capt Enright and Capt Minaker  will be available to size and distribute the shirts this Tuesday, July 3rd at Building 21 from 1800 to 2000 hrs.  If your cadet as accepted a course this summer, please stop by during this time to collect these clothing items.


The squadron will stand down for the summer effective 10 June. From then until September, there will be no more mandatory training.


The contact methods found in the ‘Contact Us’ section will continue to be monitored with the exception of our voicemail. For urgent matters, you can call or text Capt Minaker at (204) 770-1517.


If cadets attending summer training have any questions or concerns, please read through the applicable JIs (‘Forms and Files’ section) or visit the Squadron Operations Manual > ‘PART 5 – Summer Training’. Travel itineraries may still take time, but you can expect to leave the Saturday or Sunday before your course starts. If you haven’t received your itinerary via email by the Wednesday before your course starts, or if you have any questions or concerns not answered through the means above, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

There will be Power Familiarization Flying opportunities throughout the summer. Check the squadron Facebook page for more sign-up details as they become available.

Our next parade night will be on Friday 7 September. We will commence registration at 1815 hrs. Please bring a parent/guardian to re-register.


Individuals wishing to join must first advise us no later than 1 September so they can be added to the gate access list. Individuals must bring a parent/guardian, Canadian government-issued ID and Manitoba Health Services card or another provincial equivalent. Regular training will commence after registration. Those who do not intend on returning are asked to advise us as soon as possible in order to free up spots for individuals wishing to join.


All Level 5 cadets will be required to attend a planning day on Saturday 8 September. This includes cadets who qualified in Level 4 during the 2017-2018 training year. Details will be forwarded by Capt Tardi via email in mid-August.
