Pearl was born on January 7, 1933, in Jeanette, Pennsylvania.  The daughter of the late Sherman and Caroline Chew, she grew up in a loving family of four girls and three boys with a fifth sister dying in childhood.  She matured into a beautiful young woman and graduated from Penn Township High School.  Later she was to meet and marry Dale E. Carroll of Youngwood, Pennsylvania.  Together they raised two daughters, Susan and Laurie.

Although her time on this earth was brief and her passing too quick, she leaves behind a legacy of love.  She was protective of her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, Lauren and Jonathan.  They were the sparkle in Grandma’s eyes.  She went to God on August 8th, 1996.

This is to Mom. You fought well and loved us all. We miss you.
