Hi! My name is Jessika Davidson. I’m a nonprofit marketing and development professional and consultant that has spent the last few years working with amazing nonprofit organizations at the local, state and national level.
Some of the most meaningful work I’ve done has been with small and medium arts organizations and museums, particularly those that uplift and preserve African American arts, history and culture.
This living document is a pet project of mine to help arts administrators and professionals find meaningful work while benefiting the organizations and helping them to become sustainable for years to come. All of the following jobs are at Black and black-centered museums, historical and art spaces and organizations.
As a museum professional, I am tasked with moving our industry forward. It is imperative that institutions, particularly those that serve marginalized communities, commit to listed salaries in job descriptions. Not doing so is advocating for inequality in an industry that already limits access for professionals of color.
Priority will be given to organizations that are transparent about salary. Also, equitable pay is key to a thriving nonprofit ecosystem. All full-time jobs listed must pay at least 40,000/year.
