4th Grade-  

Students worked hard on their MAP testing!  We are very proud of them! This week we will be reading Woods Runner. They will also write an opinion paragraph stating whether they preferred the Hatchet book, or the movie.

5th Grade

Students worked really hard on their MAP test last week.  I am really proud of them!  We will continue reading "The Boys' War" this week.

6th Grade-

Students worked really hard taking the MAP test last week.  I am really proud of them! This week we will continue reading and analyzing  I Am Malala. We will also be doing some creative writing.

**If your child met their 16 book report goal, please be sure to sign and send back the permission slip for the reward party that will take place Wednesday morning (May 8th)!

4th Grade- Students will be working on a favorite number project. If there is time then we will do a party planning project.

5th Grade Kite-  Students will be working on creating a Geometry town.

5th Grade Carpenter-Students worked hard on their math MAP test. Tell your student how proud you are of them! They will start on a Geometry Town project this week.

6th Grade-Students felt pretty confident about the math MAP testing! Congratulate them on working so hard. They will start on a Tiny House project this week.

4th Grade: Students are working on making volcanoes for their final project.

5th Grade: Students are working on making dams for their final project.  Your help with supplies would be appreciated.  Thank you!

6th Grade: Students are finishing up their rockets.  The rocket launch will be Tuesday, May 7, at 12:30 on the blacktop. All are welcome to come!

4th Grade: Students will continue learning about the American Revolution. WAX MUSEUM WILL BE HELD ON MAY 10th FROM 1:30-2:00. Any assistance in helping your student find clothing/objects for their costume is greatly appreciated.

5th Grade: Students will continue learning about the Great Depression and the causes of WWII.

6th Grade: Students will be working on a business project.

Upcoming Dates

  • May 7th-6th grade rocket day
  • May 13th-4-6 field day
  • May 14th-Spring Concert and 6th Grade Graduation
  • May 16th-Walk-a-thon
  • May 17th-last day of school

Reminders:

  • If your student will be absent for an extended period  of time please make proper arrangements with their teacher to get their assignments ahead of time if possible.  We want to make sure each student is staying on track during their time away from school.
  • Absent students may have their assignments picked up from the office no earlier than 2:45. We can always leave their assignments in the vestibule outside the office if you need to pick it up after school hours.
  • Please remind your student they need to have a coat, gloves, scarves, long pants, etc to be prepared for outside recess.

DON’T FORGET TO DONATE TO WALK-A-THON!
