Dear Mr de Laszlo,
I was delighted to get news of you & thank you most sincerely for your very kind remembrance of your suggestion to paint a portrait sketch of me [112319].[1] Nothing would give us greater pleasure & I [shall?] gratefully look forward to the prospect. As to sittings

I wonder whether you are to be in London early in Jan & whether you wd then have any spare time then? The [thing?] is I am leaving London on Dec 22nd for the childrens holidays in Somerset & I do not expect to be back in London until early in the New Year. If therefore this sort of time suits your

convenience it wd prevent my having to curtail the short holiday I get with my family.
I shall hope to have the pleasure of seeing you before we leave London & perhaps we could then settle some dates. Meanwhile please accept my warmest thanks for your kind suggestion.
