Title: Technology Operations Coordinator
Department: Educational Innovation & Information Services (Technology)
Responsible to: Information Technology Director (primary) & Educational Innovation Director (secondary)
Classification: Non-Exempt
Purpose: As a Convent & Stuart Hall employee, the primary purpose of the Department Assistant is to be responsible for helping ensure the smooth operation of the school’s technology-rich and innovative programs by supporting a collaborative department of several technical staff and academic support faculty serving over 1300 students, faculty and staff.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Technical Support Functions:
- Provide logistical support to the help desk system of work-orders, phone, email, and face-to-face work, including communication of requests to the appropriate staff
- Triage end-user support and solve immediate issues when possible
- Maintain inventory records of hardware, software, and network services
- Maintain equipment checkout system, including loaner laptops and multimedia equipment
- Facilitate repair process with 3rd party vendors
- Coordinate virtual support resources via the department website and other dissemination systems
- Coordinates special events service requests, such as multimedia set-up
- Supports the work of the academic-focused Educational Innovation Coordinators (EIC), their related programs, and other student EIC/classroom-related activities
- Supports the multimedia capture and dissemination of projects and events
- Assist in arranging for donation, sale, or recycling of retired or broken hardware
- Supports the installation and update processes for shared devices
- Supports technology services in general including new projects as needs arise
- Administrative Support Functions:
- Coordinate the department’s Standard Operating Procedures documentation
- Send appropriate information to the archives
- Coordinate and distribute documents necessary for the opening/closing of the school year
- Select/purchase/stock office supplies
- Coordinate purchasing under the direct supervision of Directors
- Manage Tech Department calendar
- Facilitate Department payroll
- Faculty, Staff, Student, and Parent Support Functions:
- Coordinates logistics for new faculty and staff technology needs
- Coordinates communications with parents about department procedures including the completion of policy agreements, and repair and/or replacement of equipment
- Supports EICs and Techs during new student, faculty, and staff technology-related orientations
- Coordinates equipment return and/or purchase process for departing students, faculty, and staff
- Supports teacher and student implementation of technology projects both in and out of class when appropriate
- Other Responsibilities may include:
- Morning drop off duty
- Afternoon dismissal duty
- Attendance at Tech Department and EIC meetings
- Attendance at other meetings as needed
- Attendance at occasional evening or weekend events, including any ePack roll-out and other tech-related events
Qualifications:
- Must be adept with and an active user of digital technology
- Must be a highly proficient user of Apple systems including OS and iOS devices
- Requires previous demonstrated administrative assistant experience, or other related experience, preferably in a school setting
- Excellent writing, communication, and grammar skills
- Must be highly proficient in: Google Apps; database entry and reporting, and other technology applications
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and willing to take initiative
- Must have excellent teamwork skills
- Requires the ability to work well with students and adults
- Be a role model in embracing and living out the School’s mission, goals and criteria.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Service Period: July 1 through June 30. This is a 12-month position.
