Transgender & Non-Binary Inclusion Policy
1. Purpose
The York Curling Club (YCC) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants. This policy ensures that transgender and non-binary individuals are welcomed and supported in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code.
2. Guiding Principle
All individuals have the right to participate in club activities and utilize club facilities in a manner consistent with their lived gender identity.

5. Confidentiality
A member’s transgender or non-binary status is private. The Board and staff shall not disclose this information to other members without the express written consent of the individual.
6. Resolving Gender Identity and Expression Issues
Should a Participant feel they have been subject to, or witness, discrimination,bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, vilification, or victimization based on gender identity or expression, they should take appropriate action through the YCC’s Discipline and
Complaints Policy.
7. Appeal
Any decision rendered by YCC in accordance with this Policy may be appealed in accordance with YCC’s Appeal Policy.
