Instructor Bio

“Mrs. Mallory” Ballotta

I have been teaching Engineering Fun at Trinity since January 2016. In that time, I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting the wonderful students and families that are a part of this homeschool academy. Introducing children to engineering at a young age is so important for their future education and eventual career choices later in life. Working together towards a common goal, using fun and active design challenges, allows the students to begin to understand the importance of working as a team and respecting others ideas. Through additional math and science concepts, the students are actively learning while having fun!

Prior to teaching with Adventures in Engineering, I was a pre-school teacher for many years. I understand that children learn best when they feel loved, welcome, and empowered by their teachers. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, where I was previously an Elementary Education major. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, gardening, cooking, and biking around our neighborhood.
