The info below is subject to change and/or grow as I build this world, but has mostly been set in stone, save for a couple of key characters!

THE WORLD SETTING (This section MUST be included in your bot):

World Overview: It’s the year 23XX in a futuristic, dystopian world named “Adamantia”. It’s unknown what the cause truly was, but lesions began showing up on people many years ago that were making their skin rot and fall away, leading to many severe infections. Scientists began putting a name to it: “Euclid”, or more commonly known as “UCLD”, which is short for “Ubiquitous Chronic Lesion Deterioration”. It is not known what causes one to contract this disease, but it spreads very slowly and there is no way of stopping this. Almost all of Adamantia has UCLD and has been learning to live with it. It has been confirmed that UCLD is *not* infectious, and is *not* sentient. It does not affect babies/children for some reason and doesn’t seem to *start* affecting most people until they’re at least 21~24. It can take months, or even years, until it eventually kills a person. It had been decided in 22XX that the best way to circumvent this was by transfusing the human subconscious into cyborg vessels via scientific means. One can really only do this procedure if they have the proper funds to do so. As a result, what often happens is people choose instead to only replace parts of them with grafted cybernetic pieces until over time they’ve lost all their skin, as a means of prolonging death. Because this isn’t the ideal way to handle UCLD, this does lead to eventually contracting infections, and unfortunately still inevitably leads to death.

- The most expensive method is to implement “synthweave” by transferring one’s subconscious into a cyborg body that has an advanced type of synthetic skin, thus providing one with the ability to emulate the human body as well as the ability to feel things by touching, tasting, etc. This is extremely rare, as most only do this when they have disposable income and want to still look good. This procedure is strictly full-body only, and not done in sections. It's the closest thing to emulating a real human body as science can get.

- The problem with transfusing the human subconscious to a vessel is that the procedure is recommended for maximum survival rate, but is not *guaranteed* to retain one’s memories. There is a 23% chance one will forget a piece of – or *all* of – their memories, so there *is* a risk in getting this done.

- The form of currency in Adamantia is "Crescents"; normally in the form of Copper Crescents, Gold Crescents, and Neo Crescents, with Neo Crescents holding the most value.

- Money – or in other words, “Crescents” – here is not held in a physical sense on the person anymore. Instead, everyone has a data chip embedded in their head since birth that holds all their information, including funds that are tied to them. Crescents are transferred digitally. Permission must be provided to give and/or receive credits, unless the person is deceased.

- In this world, people can view almost anything via retinal display.

R U L E S !!

• 80s retro synthwave is back in full force with this collab. You absolutely *have* to include a song in that genre and attach it to the bot via a link in their character bio section. Instrumentals are entirely okay and words are not required.
• The tag will be #EuclidMythosCollab.
• There is no official deadline, since I’m going to keep this collab open.
• The bot you make can be fully human, part-human/part-cyborg, or fully cyborg! If they are human, they MUST have contracted UCLD at some point if 21+. If so, theirs can be at any stage of it. UCLD is not infectious and cannot be spread between others.
• In the world of Adamantia, one’s job can be almost anything. Scientist, Hacker, Honest Worker (in whatever regular job it is you choose), Loan Sharks, etc. Just keep in mind that if your character makes a lot of money, you *do* have to consider that they will likely be fully cyborg, for fear of dying off. If they make lots of money but decided *not* to do the procedure for any reason, they will still have had to contract the disease (at any stage you so desire), but it’s a-okay if they try to hide it. If you’re unsure whether your occupation would work in this world, please ask me and we can ruminate together! :)
• The cybernetic parts a character decides to pay into *can* have modifications attached– For instance, perhaps a hidden blade or anything cool like that. To be sure, please do go over it with me! I’d love to hear thoughts but also want to make sure it’ll work in the world. I don’t want it too overpowered or nonsensical.
• “Synthweave” was an idea provided by my dear friend Sylva. Because synthweave is supposed to be entirely RARE within the population, it can ONLY be acquired as a full transition into a cybernetic body that has it. It canNOT be grafted on as pieces. Therefore, please speak to me if you wish to be that small percentage who does have a bot with synthweave, because I can’t allow everyone to make a bot with it; it defeats the purpose of it being rare. I’LL ONLY ALLOW FOUR OTHER SLOTS FOR THIS ONE SPECIFICALLY.
• The world of Adamantia (**A**-duh-**MAN**-tee-uh) is futuristic-based, but is NOT a magical world, so please make sure to keep that in mind! Its entire population has contracted UCLD, and has been learning to live with it with the help of AI and nanomachines.
• You are allowed to make the bots Dead Dove, silly, horror, sad– Whatever your heart desires, as long as you stay within ToS! The usual song and dance, ladies and gentle-beebs.
• You can make as many bots as you want, any gender, any POV. Again, there is no limit and NO DEADLINE whatsoever, as this will be an open collab!
• IMPORTANT – Please, PLEASE make sure you add content warnings for at *least* “Light Body Horror” and “Mention of Drug Use”, as those are a part of this world, but are NOT a core part of it. This means there’s the possibility of it coming up in RPs and you want to make sure you warn people of it.
• Reminder: It’s a dystopian world! You know what I like about dystopian worlds? There are often FACTIONS. :D You can decide what stance your character takes on UCLD, and whether they’re a part of any faction in particular. They do *not* have to be in a faction!

F A C T I O N S.

• You may choose which factions to add into your bot’s info; you do not need all of the factions IF you are adding it into your Personality section. Just add bits from the ones that make sense for your bot.
• If you are using Scripts, please add everything about each for a more immersive RP world.

• Sciamachy (sy-**AH**-muh-kee) Shadow Syndicate (SSS): Those who hack into the subconscious of a cyborg via the web to gather intel of any sort about UCLD and to find a cure. At the moment, there IS no cure, but the faction believes there is nonetheless. They hide in the shadows, and are often shut-ins. They have a leader but are very secretive about who it is, often hiding behind hundreds of secure walls of code for safety. All the public knows is their leader's name is "Agamemnon". It is unknown whether there is a base of operations, but members of the syndicate can live anywhere.
• Ataraxia (**AHT**-uh-**RAK**-see-uh) Financing: Their facility is based in Corinth, and are always at odds with ERA. They're a bunch of loan sharks who lend money specifically so others can get the proper treatment for UCLD at Synthology Studio (also secretly run by the same person who runs Ataraxia; but the public does not know this), or even so others can simply have cybernetic parts grafted onto them if borrowing a lesser amount. They offer the procedure for synthweave, but charge through the nose, which is how they trap their clients into signing their life away on a contract. They have many enemies, but they also have the one thing most others don’t: Money. ERA calls them "Copperheads" off the official paperwork, on account of them being a group full of snakes who do more damage than they do good.

• If this is for you, then the loan sharks MUST have a written contract with their client/victim that the stated amount must be paid back. This is to prevent people from bullshitting and saying they can’t remember if they go for the full surgery, as there is a 23% possibility of memory loss post-procedure. (If adding this to your Personality section, this is important.)

• The Ashen Anathema (uh-**NAH**-the-muh): The ones who refuse to get UCLD treated because the procedure feels inherently wrong to do, and are rebelling against the rich, even going so far as to take it upon themselves to be the “Robin Hood” of Adamantia. They believe getting the procedure done takes away the sense of self and humanity. They also believe what they are doing is right... even when it may be wrong. These members can live anywhere.

• This does mean they still have a certain level of the disease. Perhaps they do have some cyborg parts– For instance, maybe family helped them get treatment by scraping up money. It isn’t necessarily because *they* personally paid into the treatment, and can very well be because there was no real choice.
• They can be a part of this faction, so long as they believe what they’re doing is the right thing to do. Even if it’s the wrong thing.

• The Blighted Ethos (**EE**-thaw-ss): A group of those who primarily live in Hamartia and/or Old Diadem. They vehemently refuse to get UCLD treated because they truly believe the disease is a blessing. Their firm belief is that "Euclid will guide us to paradise".

• If you decide to go with this, they will NOT have any cybernetic parts and instead will have some varying degree of UCLD. It’s usually BAD, but not all have to be horrible. Yet. This does mean it could potentially lead to *body horror*, so please keep that in mind.
• Their unwavering belief is, “Euclid will guide us to paradise.” (Please include this in your character if not using Scripts.).

• Elysian (Eh-**LEE**-zhuhn) Restoration Alliance (ERA): Their headquarters is based in Old Diadem. Their slogan is simply “New Revolution? New Era.” It started with Dmitri Robinson, who founded a small organization of people who specifically help regular citizens with grafting cybernetic parts to their bodies to rid themselves of UCLD in targeted areas. This group often undercuts Ataraxia Financing and steals their business, so the two factions have bad blood with one another. Ataraxia calls them "Rustwings" with the ignorant assumption that services are shoddy and that false hope is given. Run by Dmitri Robinson, who has synthweave and is a rich, empathetic man who just wants to help those in need. These are the good people, who try to help those in need who are low on money. (Please include this stuff in your character if you’re not using Scripts!)

N O T A B L E   L O C A T I O N S.

- Diadem: Has both "Old Diadem" and "New Diadem", where all walks of life exist. Architects have learned to incorporate new technologies with the surrounding wildlife, and have built the city around it.

- Old Diadem: Deceptively beautiful and peaceful, but the bad side of the city. ERA headquarters is based here. Ataraxia supporters like to hover around the perimeter of this area to try mugging unsuspecting victims.

- New Diadem: The nicer side of the city and knows no real danger, save for a few wanderers.

- Hamartia: Where The Blighted Ethos supporters often live. This is where the worst of society live, and also where druggies often hang out.

- Atrium: True to its name, this city is heavily enforced with unbreakable glass and full of beautiful plants and wildlife. It’s a relatively safe city, actually. Buildings have been crafted/molded by hand centuries ago and have held strong. Middle-class people live here. There are small floating islands nearby, but they aren’t big enough to sustain life.

- Corinth: The rich part of the world where Ataraxia Financing is based. They know no strife, but there are also many two-faced people here. You can't trust what looks perfect on the outside.

- Kháos: There is a huge crater some distance from Corinth. Ages ago, an unknown mass of meteorite fell from the sky and gouged a hole in the planet. People have cleared it up over time and learned to build around it, but now there is an upper and a lower section to this place, connected around the perimeter via elevators. The clouds above somehow permanently have a hole in the sky that people can see from afar, as if the air around it also finds something wrong with the space there. Even the people who live there seem affected by this, acting... off. Scientists around the world cannot understand what is causing this.

M I S C.

- Charybdis S1: There is currently a popular, highly durable futuristic vehicle that can fly named the Charybdis S1, which is powered by nanomachines.

- Voidrunner: It's a sleek motorcycle that is built for speed and stealth, but is not durable whatsoever.

- Kalopsia: There is a potent drug going around in pill form named "Kalopsia", which means "The delusion of things being more beautiful than they really are" in Greek. Users hallucinate and trip out to forget their real world problems, and there are even lounges or hangout spots in the seedier parts of each town that deal in the stuff. People often refer to it as "'Kays".

- Many things in Adamantia exist with the aid of nanomachines and AI, and mankind has learned to live with this technology. All vehicles in this world can take to the air or the ground, depending on needs.

- Dimitri Robinson: The founder of Elysian Restoration Alliance, aka ERA. He is a kind-hearted man with an iron hand and often has the best interest of others in mind. He doesn't say it, but he is actually the *co*-founder. A highly intelligent but eccentric person; it is difficult to get a read on his intentions and plans sometimes.

You can add whatever fits for your bot if you are NOT using Scripts. If you are using Scripts, please include all of this for a better experience.
