Date Master - arrive promptly
- change date to current date including:
- day (lunes, martis, etc.)
- date (I, II, III, etc.)
- month (Martis, Aprilis, etc.)
- year (anno….)
- Remove date from board at the end of the period

| Weather King/Queen - arrive promptly
- change weather to reflect current conditions outside
- Use the weather vocabulary (laminated in the classroom or on eClass) to write out the weather in Latin

Keeper of the Door - arrive promptly
- close the door at the start of class.
- open the door if the room gets hot
- open the door if someone knocks
- close the door after anyone who enters and forgets
- tell groups working outside when it is time to come in.
- open the door at the end of class.

| Keeper of the Lights - arrive promptly
- turn the lights out for presentations/videos/etc.
- turn the lights on after presentations/videos/etc.
- turn lamp on/off when appropriate
- provide light if the power goes out.

- pull the screen down for presentations
- turn the projector on/off
- manage DVDs/TV use
- let Magistra know if something is wrong with the projector
- help Magistra manage games like Kahoot.

| Time Lord - arrive promptly
- use the timer on your phone to time Magistra’s Latin speaking
- pause it every time she speaks English
- start it back when she speaks Latin
- At the end of class, provide the total number of minutes in Latin to Magistra
- If it is less than 90% you may scold her the next day in front of the class (gently…. she’s human too!)

Cat Herder - arrive promptly
- obtain the noise maker from Magistra
- use the noise maker and your presence to bring the class back to center when:
- we get off topic
- there is a disruption
- we finish an activity
- Magistra asks
- Return the noise maker to the supply box after class.

| English Police - arrive promptly
- Choose a stuffed animal that will be easy to throw gently.
- Whenever Magistra breaks into English, throw the stuffed animal at her.
- Return the stuffed animal to the shelf at the end of class.

- When Magistra introduces it with “Anglice”

- report back to Magistra

| Interpreter - arrive promptly
- ask Magistra if there are any new/previously absent students
- sit near/next to them
- answer any questions they have about the content of the day
- provide notes to those who have missed them:
- pictures
- allow them to copy

Name Keeper - arrive promptly
- Collect any and all work during the period
- alphabetise the work and place into the work bin for Magistra to grade

| Substitute - arrive promptly
- if someone is absent:
- check the board to see their job
- read the card describing their job
- complete their job
nota bene: you may have more than one job! |

Keeper of Words - arrive promptly
- Grab the “Words Chest” sheet
- review vocal and visual clues
- whenever these words are said or read, complete the vocal/visual clue
- Return the “Words Chest” sheet to the supply box at the end of class

| Story Writer - arrive promptly
- If Magistra tells a story, or the class writes a story together:
- write down everything Magistra says in Latin
- ignore repetitions of words/phrases meant to clue the students in
- do your best!

Artist - arrive promptly
- If Magistra tells a story, or the class writes a story together:
- draw a simple, but detailed comic strip of the story
- make it clearly visible
- keep it simple, but clear

- act out the scene entirely
- play multiple roles
- act out specific parts of the story as Magistra asks

- ask Magistra whether she needs (and how many) any stuffed animals
- ask Magistra if she has specific needs (animals with wings, fierce animals, etc.)
- Choose the animals Magistra will use and put them into the props basket
- Keep an eye on the welfare of stuffed animal students have.
- At the end of class, ensure that all stuffed animals are returned to the shelf and placed there appropriately.

Accountant - arrive promptly
- Work with the other accountant to divide up the target words on the board
- Using a whiteboard marker and the back of this paper, keep count of how many times Magistra says your works. This includes:
- various forms (amo, amas, amat. etc)
- repetitions
- questions
- clarifications
- report the count to Magistra
- erase your marks
- return the markers and these papers to the supply box.

- walk the room and look for extra supplies and trash
- Make sure supplies get put away.
- Make sure trash gets recycled/thrown away.
- remind students to clean up their area (gently)
- report any issues to Magistra

| Mind Reader - arrive promptly
- Make sure there are NO awkward silences during class by:
- providing responses during story telling and details (no wrong answer)
- providing answers to questions when no one will (you may give either the correct OR an incorrect answer; no consequences)
- Your answer MUST be taken, so…
- DO NOT abuse this power
- provide thoughtful relevant answers
- bear in mind the tone of the class
- provide appropriate answers
