HUNGARIAN LEGATION

IN LONDON.

4th June 1924.

My dear Friend,

I am writing to ask for your help in a propaganda matter that is strictly within the orbit of art. The English art journals have up till now shown no interest in Hungarian artistic movements. To remedy this, Arthur Elek,[1] one of the best Hungarian art critics, is willing to act entirely gratis as the Budapest correspondent of a distinguished English art journal, for example the Studio.

As you my dear friend have the most excellent contacts in the world of art, a recommendation from you would carry a great deal of weight. I therefore ask whether you would be able to take this on board? In the event of your agreeing I can let you have further details.

Thank you in advance for your kindness. | Your respectful admirer and friend,

Szápáry
