Second Continental Congress
Because of the tradition of self-governance in the colonies, the American colonist were able to organize and gather enough support to rebel against the British. One of the ways the colonist turned their history of self-government into an organized central government was by creating a Continental Congress. In this activity, you will explore how and why the colonists were able to organize against the British.
