REGISTRATION FORMS: registration forms must be completed by April 1.  Please hand them into your JAG teacher.  Students registering for CRP - your forms must also be handed in with your registration forms


If you are staying after school to wait for a ride, or waiting for team practice,  you must wait in the homework room (218) only. If you choose not to be in the homework room, you will then need to leave/go home right after school.  Question or concerns - please speak with Mr. Antonini

The Wake-A-Thon is coming -  Friday May 5, 2017!!

-Minimum $50 raised to participate, but the more you raise the better!

-If you raise $85 you get a Wake-A-Thon Survivor T-shirt

-For every $10 you raise above $50, your name gets entered into the grand prize draw.

-Forms & Money due to Ms. Rosenkranz by Thursday May 4, 2017.

Let’s beat last year’s amount of $7500!

-Raise $10,000 and you can pie Mr. Leier & Ms. Rosenkranz

-Raise $12,000 and Mr. Leier will shave his head (Be some of the top fundraisers, and you can be the ones to do it!)

-Raise $15,000 and Ms. Rosenkranz will get a Johnson tattoo of some sort! In front of the whole school even maybe?!

JAVA JAMS- Variety Show

Got a talent you want to showcase? Java Jams is the place!  We are looking for singer, dancers, rappers, magicians, artists, poets, you name it.  Auditions will be Monday April 24th and Tuesday April 25th in the auditorium.  So get your act ready!

We will be having weekly meetings until the end of the year to complete our Yearbook pages! If you need assistance or a place to work on the yearbook, please come to computer lab 211 on Tuesdays after school. We will be starting March 21st.

Practice on Tuesday, April 25th 12:20-1:00  Our last “league” game will be on Wednesday April 26th vs Riffel here at FWJ.  Please be changed out and ready to play by 12:10.    Unified Basketball Provincial Championship Tournament May 6th at Riffell High School 9:00 am - 3:30 pm.  Lunch will be provided for all players!! Tell your parents, friends, teachers, neighbours to come out and cheer.  The more support the merrier!!  

Special Olympics are looking for volunteers (parents/students/teachers/administration etc) for this tournament.  They need:

1. Volunteers to run the score keeping tables


2. Volunteers to update the brackets (Competitive and Non-Competitive)


3. Volunteers to hand out lunch to teams


4. Volunteers to sit at the merchandise table (we will be accepting donations only for merchandise - all donations go directly back into the Unified Program to help pay for jerseys, t-shirts, etc.)                                              

 Please let Mrs Turnbull (Room 101) or Ms. Wharran (Room 112) know as soon as possible if/where you are able to help out.

The weather is nice, your spring has begun, perhaps you could practice with us, to begin to run.

It's time for fun, it's time for friends, it's time to be fit, and take a step towards addiction ends.

Research supports the need for activity, to replace what could be termed “too much levity”,

so come along, and try it out, your skills will grow, as you run about.

 Senior Prom-May 25-”A Night in Paris”                

Prom is on! Thank you to everyone who has brought ticket so far! If you have bought a ticket, please check your school email for a survey regarding the speeches and prom song. You are asked to nominate students, teachers, and parents who will give speeches.  

On April 11 & 13, extra program tickets will be sold. These tickets are for family and friends to attend the program portion of the evening (speeches, slide show, and grand march).  At this time, a maximum of 8 additional tickets will be sold per senior (in addition to the 2 complimentary tickets for a total of 10). Prom tickets will still be available.  

IMPORTANT: STUDENT FEES MUST BE PAID BEFORE YOU PURCHASE PROM TICKETS.  Tickets will not be sold to students with outstanding fees.

Guidance Events

ATTENTION GRADE 12’s interested in entering the TRADES (Apr. 12th SYA DAY)

If you are in Gr. 12 and need to complete your Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship or have no idea what that is and are considering the Trades please come see Mr. Leier or Ms. Randall in Guidance for a SYA contract and to register with us for our Trade day(APR 12th) that will give you up to 300 hrs of apprenticeship hours and wave your indenture fee. We will have two Journey Person’s here to discuss the trades and routes to entering, as well complete passport activities.

The iQmetrix Females in Technology 2017 Scholarship (Saskatchewan)

One post-secondary student residing in Saskatchewan will receive a $1000 scholarship to support a tech-oriented education.

East Zone Scholarships for Grade 12’s                

Students who reside in Boothill, Arcola East or Dewdney East Communities are eligible for 2x $1000 bursaries. The selection criteria are based on community participation, including extra curricular school activities, church activities and other volunteerism. Applications are below and due April 15th, 2017.
