NO PURCHASE OR MOBILE TWEETING IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR MOBILE TWEET WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
The Wheat Thins® Holiday Sweepstakes – Phase 2 (the “Promotion”) starts at 12:00 pm ET on December 8, 2013 and ends at 12:00 pm ET on December 22, 2013 (the “Promotion Period”).
ELIGIBILITY: Promotion is open to residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age and who have a Twitter account and follow @WHEATTHINS on Twitter. Individuals with restricted/private Twitter accounts are not eligible to enter. Employees of Mondelēz Global LLC (“Sponsor”), Twitter, AKQA, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion and advertising agencies and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, sibling or child and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and persons living in the same household of such employees, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited by law. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
HOW TO ENTER: During the Promotion Period, become a follower of @WHEATTHINS on Twitter at <https://twitter.com/wheatthins>. Respond to tweets from @WHEATTHINS with “#WishItWasWheatThins” included in the tweet or send an original tweet to @WHEATTHINS including “#WishItWasWheatThins”. All entries must be received during the Promotion Period to be eligible. If you choose to tweet using your mobile phone, standard text messaging fees for text messages sent and received may apply. See your wireless provider for pricing plan details. To be eligible tweets cannot contain any offensive language and must be dignified, modest and in good taste as determined solely at the discretion of the Sponsor and/or Judges. Limit one (1) entry per twitter handle/account. Use of any robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry method or more than one entry will be void. A Twitter account is required to enter and can be opened for free at <http://twitter.com>. All entries become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Each day of the Promotion Period the first 400 people to tweet and enter will receive a direct message on Twitter with a unique link to collect their prize. Only the potential winners will be notified via a Twitter direct message including a link to complete details for box delivery and will have 5 days from the time the direct message is sent to follow link and complete his/her first and last name, email and age so that a winner notification package may be sent to him/her by mail. If potential winner does not respond to the direct message within 5 days from the time the message is sent as noted above the prize will automatically be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner, time permitting, at Sponsor's sole discretion. If Sponsor is unable to contact a potential winner, the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or a potential winner(s) is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize will be forfeited. Sponsor’s decision will be final and binding in all respects.
PRIZE AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”): 5,600 Grand Prizes: Five Thousand Six Hundred grand prizes of a box of Holiday Wheat Thins ARV: $20,720 No substitution or transfer of prize permitted by winner. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Prize cannot be resold. Prize will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Sponsor is not responsible for the delay, postponement or cancellation of all or any portion of the travel redeemed.
GENERAL CONDITIONS: By participating, each entrant (and, if an eligible minor, his/her parent or legal guardian) agrees: (a) to abide by these Official Rules and decisions of Judges; (b) to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, Twitter, and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents and representatives of the forgoing (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any awarded prize; and (c) to the use of his/her name, voice, performance, photograph/video, image and/or likeness for programming, advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in any and all media, now or hereafter known, worldwide and on the Internet, and in perpetuity by Sponsor and its designees, without compensation (unless prohibited by law) or additional consents from entrant or any third party and without prior notice, approval or inspection, and to execute specific consent to such use if asked to do so.
In the event of a dispute regarding entries and/or tweets received from multiple users having the same Twitter account, the authorized subscriber of the Twitter account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the Twitter account by Twitter. Released Parties not responsible for misdirected or undeliverable Twitter updates ("tweets") or for any technical problems, malfunctions of any telephone lines, computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof. Released Parties are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, undeliverable, destroyed, garbled or stolen entries or tweets; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider, website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether typographical, human mechanical, electronic, computer, network, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the posting of invitations to participate, the processing of entries and/or tweets, the announcement of the prizes or in any Promotion-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading materials from or use of the website. Sponsor may disqualify anyone from participating in the Promotion or winning a prize (and void all associated entries/tweets) if, in its sole discretion, it determines that such person is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend any portion of the Promotion for any reason, including should any cause corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Promotion and, in the event of termination, to determine the winner from among all eligible tweets and/or entries received up to such time.
Requests subject to verification. Upon verification, you will receive a box of Wheat Thins or appropriate protection device. LIMIT ONE PRIZE REQUEST PER HOUSEHOLD OR TWITTER HANDLE. Variable number of boxes/coupons/premiums available per day, at variable times per day. ALLOW 4 TO 6 WEEKS FOR SHIPMENT. Duplicate requests will constitute fraud. Offer good in USA only, its territories and military addresses. Mondelēz Global, LLC reserves the right to send a free product coupon in lieu of actual product package. Void where taxed, restricted or prohibited. Fraudulent submissions could result in federal prosecution under the U.S. Mail Fraud Statutes (18 United States Code, Sections 1341 and 1342).
