Tab 1

Below is a compilation of every major thing that has happened since Donald Trump took office for the second time.

I have chosen not to include “intermediate” developments for the time being. I use this term to describe announcements about the administration’s intentions (I’ll post their most egregious plans, but I’ll typically wait until they take action to add them), confirmation advancements (I’ll post when the nominees are fully confirmed or rejected, but will not update as they move through the process, nor will I include the official swearing in of each person), and some legislation that has been passed by one or both chambers of Congress but remains unsigned by Trump.

My goal is to provide 3 sources for each headline, with as many articles from nonpartisan outlets (BBC, NPR, PBS, Reuters, etc.) as possible. I will not include headlines I can’t verify through multiple sources, and I will try to limit the repetition of stories. Some articles may be behind a paywall; I’ve tried to include at least one accessible article with each headline. I have included links to specific executive orders, memos, and websites where applicable. Snopes was deemed a reliable fact checker by my law school professors, so I consider it good enough for this, too; I’ve included it where it appeared in my research. Due to time constraints, not every headline will get a post-it, but they will all be added to this document.

Please don’t steal my work. Feel free to use this doc to stay informed, educate others, and silence MAGAts, but please don’t claim this document or any part of it as your own. This has taken hours to compile and will undoubtedly take years off my life.

My TikTok messages have been disabled (yay censorship!); feel free to leave comments on my most recent post if I miss something. Keep in mind that this will always be updated a day after the stories break, so if something happens, don’t expect a post-it or addition here until the following day.

One of my law school professors once told us that there is no guarantee we will win the struggle for justice and equality, that we have to learn to enjoy the fight. I have greatly enjoyed compiling this information and will do my best to see it through these next four years.
