Board Meeting Minutes

1. Call to Order

6:45 p.m.  

2. Approval of Meeting Minutes from Previous Board Meeting

Britnee makes motion at 6:45 p.m. Melissa Seconds all in favor no oppose

3. Coach/President Update

Informational meeting schedule Thursday May 9th at 7:30 at the High School - Scott will get back to TSue to confirm with her. Tryouts scheduled for the 13th through the 17th. 13th may be a challenge due to the time. The time is supposed to be after school.

Coach is getting fingerprinted on Tuesday. Melissa will follow up with Scott to determine when we can announce TSue as the coach. They did already start the background check. Probably will be able to announce on Wednesday. Tryouts coming soon to be posted on social media.

Poms clinic at Boutique at June- TBD if that is going to be required

Both coaches can be at the UNC camp at the end of July July 29th- August 1st.

Weekly strength and conditioning will get set up through Scott and TSue will follow up

Choreo will be set up for July 19th and 20th- That is for Jazz and Pom

Team boning July 8th- Details will TBD

Technique at Boutique Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays Mondays 7:15-9:15 Tuesdays 7:30-9:30 Thursdays 7-9- leaps and turns, ballet, routines, and poms. Olivia, Leah and Tsue will be the coaches for these nights.

Regular practices start August 1st.

Wanting 12 to compete. Planning to have captains. Cuts only if they do not have any skills to grow.

4. Treasurer’s Report

1. Payment to school for banquet- Scott has not asked for the money. Will hold for now. Taxes are complete. Boosters may have to move to DCEF to run the booster club finances from now on. $689 is the total in the account.

5. Old Business

1. New coach update- as above.
2. Recruitment- Dancers need to go to the middle schools. Go the 3rd and the 8th. Aspen View, CRMS- Virtual backpacks?  Develop a flyer to pass out. Brittnee is going to make a flyer for the dancers.
3. Camp/Combine/Clinic Registrations  - Choreo

2. Plan for next Booster Meeting- Include Vote for Board as stayed per last board meeting
3. Finalize Booster Club Membership Expectations to present at parent meeting

1. What will Booster Fund? (Dinners, team gifts, etc.)- Total cost for parents.

3. Additional Fundraising?

4. Propose Coordinator/Committee positions
5. Team bonding events- Calendar date proposals
