Mr. Philip Laszlo has presented to the Bodleian Library, Oxford, a portrait of the Pope, painted last year by himself. It shows Pius XI, seated in his robes of state. The Pope was formerly a student at the Bodleian Library, and on his election to the Papacy received a message of congratulation from Oxford University.
