I saw pyramids and like a building under me.  I also saw cars and people.  There were enormous pyramids.  I saw a big city called Cairo. Last thing I saw was these things like bumps in the ground.  Those bumps were the houses of the workers or slaves that worked on the pyramid.

What do you THINK?

First I was thinking why was the sphinx built?  Next What’s inside?  Last I was thinking Why is it called Sphinx?

What do you WONDER?

(During your expedition what are you wondering about? What questions come to your mind?)

I wonder what do people think of the Sphinx?  What do people do if there was something inside?  Is there something inside that’s valuable?

I saw in VR pyramids and in the story it talked about pyramids and how in them were sometimes hieroglyphs.  Also in the text it said about the war and how people died. In the expedition it said how when they were building the pyramid some people died.    

How do you THINK the Expedition enhanced your understanding of the text?

It enhanced my reading because then I understood how some people got some hieroglyphs. They wrote the hieroglyphs on the temple walls to tell the story of the Pharaoh buried inside.

What do you still WONDER after experiencing the Expedition and reading the text?

How do some people know how much work they need to do for the pyramids and for figuring out the hieroglyphs?  Also how do we know when the pyramids will collapse?
