Stage 1 – Desired Results

Attendees will be able to implement instructional tools to be used in online, hybrid, and face to face courses.

Content Standard(s):

ISTE Educator Standards:

Set professional learning goals to explore and apply pedagogical approaches made possible by technology and reflect on their effectiveness.

Stay current with research that supports improved student learning outcomes, including findings from the learning sciences.

Use technology to create, adapt and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs.

Design authentic learning activities that align with content area standards and use digital tools and resources to maximize active, deep learning.

Explore and apply instructional design principles to create innovative digital learning environments that engage and support learning.

Understanding (s)/goals

Attendees will:

Discuss ideas how instructional technology can be used to enhance course content.

Review the use of instructional tools in online, hybrid, or face to face, courses should be used intentionally to support content.

Discuss there are many technology tools, that function in a similar context, but, it is up to the instructor to decide what works best for their course.

When using technology instructional tools in your classroom the focus should be on creation to enhance learning.

Essential Question(s) :

  1. How are technology tools important in lesson planning ?

  1. How can technology tools enhance learning ?

  1. What are some technology tools that you already use in your instruction?

      4) How important is technology literacy in your

      online, face to face, and hybrid courses ?

     5) Is the intructional tool that you are using

         accessible to all learners ?

Student objectives (outcomes):

Attendees will be able to implement at least one technlogy tool from the presentation into their online, hybrid, or face to face course.

Attendees will be able to discuss or share ideas on how these instructional tools can be used in their online, hybrid, or face to face courses.

Stage 2 – Assessment Evidence

Performance Task(s):

Demonstrate the use of  :1) screencastomatic, screencastify 2) H5p.org 3) Insert Learning 4) Flip Grid 5) Video Conference Tools for Synchronus Instruction.

Attendees will discuss ideas of how these tools can be used in their online, hybrid, and face to face courses.

Attendees will try to create at least one piece of course content with these tools to be used in their online, face to face, or hybrid courses.

Other Evidence:

Attendees, will use “Today’s Meet”, for a back channel discussion,  on technology tools they may already use in their online, hybrid, or face to face classes.

Attendees, will be provided with a copy of the presentation, screencasts, and the ability to book a personal appointment with the instructor, if individual help is needed.

Stage 3 – Learning Plan

Attendees, will be introduced to five technology tools that can be used in any learning discipline for online, hybrid, and face to face courses. After each of the tools are introduced attendees will use one of the tools. Next, they will  present an idea on how one of these tools may be used in their online, hybrid, or face to face courses.

The tools are: 1) screencastomatic, screencastify 2) H5p.org 3) Insert Learning 4) Flip Grid 5) Video Conference Tools for Synchronus Instruction.
