… The 100-year-old newly-repainted/roofed house is adjacent to UNC and two blocks from downtown.  Enter this large ground-floor room (formerly the front parlor) through glass double doors from a paneled front hall, little changed since the house was built in 1907.

… Two wing chairs and an upholstered bench surround the decorative brick fireplace. The desk, in a large 75-pane windowed alcove, overlooks a lovely rose garden. The queen-size four-poster bed is gently cooled by a ceiling fan. The room is freshly painted. Ten-foot ceilings, built-in bookshelves and cabinets, original wainscoting, and lovely curtains and pictures add to its appeal.

… At the top of the stairs is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, shared with the other guests in the building.

... On a beautiful day, you might like to relax outdoors or entertain friends on the wraparound porch, overlooking the street.

… You have access to free washer, dryer, iron and ironing board in both of the two adjacent buildings.

.... The traditional white frame house, built in 1907 and occupied for over 50-years by the Callahan family, has three fireplaces and a wrap-around covered front porch, a lovely place to sit,  either by yourself or with friends.

… The room is separately keyed with its own combination lock and an inside chain. When your booking is confirmed, you will be given the codes for the locks from the outside and to your room, allowing 24 hour check in and entry.
