Rules & Procedures

Grade Limits:

To develop classes suitable for a particular age and academic range, we specify grade

levels for each class. Grade levels indicated in the course description refer to your student’s grade level for the following school year - What grade will your child attend next year? You may not enroll your child in a class outside of his/her upcoming grade level.

Class Cancellations/Modifications:

We do our best to accommodate all students who register for classes. To keep fees as

low as possible, a minimum enrollment for each class is set to cover expenses. If the

minimum enrollment is not met, a class may be cancelled. If this occurs, you will be contacted and you will have the opportunity to enroll for an alternate class or receive a full refund.

Course Limitations:

At this time, we will not limit the number of courses for which a student can enroll. Classes are closed based on enrollment during the registration process. The school does not reserve seats for second and/or third choices.

Receipts

Receipts are available upon request.

Transportation

All programs will be held at St. Mary’s School. Transportation to and from the campus is the responsibility of the student’s family.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m not a student at St. Mary’s School, can I still participate?  Yes.  We welcome anyone in the community to consider our program. We will still emphasize our school’s mission and expect Christian behavior including appropriate manners and etiquette.

I am not Catholic, can I still participate?  Yes.  The school welcomes students of any faith and will not try to convert (proselytize) your child.

What’s “Summer Learning Loss”?        Research shows that on average, all students lose skills over the summer.  Educators increasingly promote quality summer learning ON ANY TOPIC as a key strategy to improving achievement.  Plus, studies conclude that the effects of summer learning programs endure for at least two years after the student has engaged in the summer program.  St. Mary’s School is dedicated to academic excellence, which is why we want your child to take advantage of every opportunity for learning.

Will any courses have grades or homework?  No. While grades and homework have their place, St. Mary’s School wants each student to experience their summer in a more relaxed environment.  Summer = Fun.  Therefore, Summer Enrichment is purposely designed without the stress of academic grading or accountability.

Can I enroll in a course part-time (e.g. 2 out of 3 weeks)? The answer must come from the teacher or coach.  Some of the courses build on previous instruction so this may not be possible. If the instructor has no concern, then the school will be happy to enroll your child on a partial basis.  Partial enrollment does not necessarily constitute partial price.
