Ottawa-Glandorf Pathways for College Credit Plus (CCP)

At Ottawa-Glandorf High School, students can take CCP courses in 2 ways:

#1.  Students can take courses here at OGHS through partnered colleges

        Rhodes State College

                *Calculus (Grade 12)

                *Introduction to American Politics (Grades 11, 12)

                *English Composition /Literature (Grade 12)

                *Introduction to Statistics (Grades 11, 12)

                *Computer Applications (Grades 10, 11, 12)        

                *Algebra/Trigonometry (Grades 10 ,11, 12)

                *Digital Media (Grades 11, 12)

                *College Experience (Grade 12)

        Bowling Green State University

                *Biology (9, 10, 11, 12)

                

#2. Students can take courses through a College Credit Plus college or university of their choice

        **In the past, students have taken on-campus courses through Rhodes State College,

        Ohio State University Lima, and The University of Findlay. Students can also choose to

        take online courses through any state public university through this program.  However,

        it is the student’s responsibility to apply to these programs and register for classes.

In both options, students must apply to the individual colleges and be accepted in order to take the courses.  Each university has their own standards for admission.  If interested in taking CCP courses, students should attend an informational meeting and INFORM THEIR COUNSELOR by April 1st if they plan to take CCP courses by submitting a signed letter of intent.

General Education Pathway through Rhodes State College and Bowling Green State University

                        16 College Credits

Students should take college prep courses and focus on getting a high GPA.  Students should register and take the ACT if considering taking a CCP course next year. Some courses may require certain scores on the ACT or Accuplacer Test.

10th grade:  Biology or Computer Applications..............................................3 credits

11th grade:  Introduction to Statistics (RHODES)..........................................3 credits

                or Digital Media / Computer Applications (RHODES)

               

12th grade:  English Composition/Literature (RHODES)................................3 credits

                Calculus (RHODES) or Algebra/Trig(RHODES).................. .....3 credits
