Manager, Creative Production (Black Audience Focus)

THE JOB.

We’re looking to hire a Manager, Creative Production to oversee a set of editors and designers, and manage the creative asset development for a new client account geared towards Black audiences.

Whether it’s a GIF or a full scale production, this person will have an unrelenting thirst for quality content, and a unique sensibility towards what will best connect with historically underestimated audiences.

They will work deeply with the Audience Strategy team to marry the insights and strategic initiatives of that team, with innovative creative that is “thumb stopping” good.

This role requires someone very familiar with all the social platforms with a background in social media marketing. Marketing agency and entertainment experience is an added benefit.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director, Creative Production, your duties will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Guide creative development and execution from in-house and freelance production staff
  • Work closely with our Audience Strategy Team, motion graphics designers, animators, and editors, to brilliantly bring ideas to life
  • Receive, review, distribute, and manage assets internally and externally for each project.
  • Establish project schedules and maintain on-time accountability.
  • Ensure all resource and budget allocations meet the scope of work for each project.
  • Route storyboards, social cuts, and other materials for internal and external approvals.
  • Track music, graphics, films, series, and other additional source files are delivered to the editors.
  • Monitor digital file guidelines, naming convention protocol and file-sharing processes.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Result-oriented and client-focused with a passion for the creative and production processes.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Consistent follow-through ability to traffic communication and ensure project accuracy.
  • Strong computer skills and hands-on understanding of the latest Adobe Creative and G Suite
  • A creative point of view, a “can-do” attitude and a “what’s next” mentality.
  • 5+ years of production background is a must. Agency experience preferred.
  • Experience in creating content geared for Black Audiences
  • Consistently bring ideas that amaze and inspire our clients and our team
  • Experiential and entertainment experience are a plus.
  • Ability to establish visual narratives
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to provide and receive feedback
