Dear Lady Howe,
I had here today a friend of mine, Professor Strobl, one of the leading sculptors of Hungary.[1] He saw my picture of you [5694] and was very enthusiastic about it, and expressed a desire to do a sculpture of you, if you would be so kind as to give him sittings. He would not do a bust only, but a whole figure of you in a small size.
He is here carrying out a commission, and will stay for another three weeks or a month.
May I ask if you would be willing to give him sittings? It is not a matter of business, but he would like to do it for his own pleasure, and would like to exhibit it. I shall be so pleased if I can give him a favourable reply.
Looking forward to hearing from you, and with kindest regards,
I am, | Yours sincerely,
[Philip de László]
