Campaign Day 001
XP: Everyone has 2 xp from discovering the Glow Machine & Miasma Box
The remaining guards, shocked by the swiftness with which their two companions were killed and the sudden looming drake near the stairwell, and furious with Jay Zin for his boast, sought out the most direct ways possible to enact their vengeance on him. Three spent their round charging Jay with abandon, while the one furthest away found his approach blocked by the slave Diruk. He shouted “Out of my way diruk scum!” and made to attack Basai. The Diruk was prepared for the attack, and easily deflected the blow of the guard and answered with a repost of hir own.
Glowing Guards: Lvl 2 - w/ shields and glow - Speed Defense lvl. 4 - 6 hp - 1 Armor

Free action
The guard shouted at Basai as he swung, the motion reckless and shi swept it aside easily, the metal clunking off hir stony hide as shi used the momentum to respond with a solid strike to the other's torso, crumpling metal as blunt rocky fist met armor. ”No.” The rush of confidence from being to actually defy a direct order was astounding as hir punch made the guard stagger towards his friends.

In the meantime, shi registered an explosion of paint and vented her call of congratulations at the accuracy of hir comrades. Shi was satisfied now that shi'd fallen in with the right folk.
Action 1
Jay Zin felt excited... and a little worried... here he was about to stand up to three enemies... He hoped his light shield was up to the test.
He takes the defensive stance that Grand Knight Clare't Mon had drilled into him for so many hours. This was the first time he had ever used it in an actual fight though. Never had there been his life on the line though. The slight flickering of the light shield gave him a little more confidence. Addressing his opponents...
You should all realize by now that you are all outclassed here. If I were you I would surrender.
Honestly he hoped that they didn't surrender. It would be a shame to not get to use his light shield.
Jay Zin attacks the closest guard to him.

Basai
Basai turned with the guard shi'd just attacked to face the one at hir side, sweeping hir arm around the man and clotheslining him with great force, taking him away from Jay's side. The scrape of metal on rock was audible as Basai withdrew hir arm, human blood streaked across the crystals. Steam hissed from hir as shi flicked her arm spraying the ichor on the floor. Shi was evidently recovered from the stabbing earlier.Attack Guard 2: 1d20 ⇒ 18 +2 Damage, for a total of 8 Damage <Killed Guard2>
Shi rumbled at Jay, hir crystals flickering with confidence as shi vented a proud sigh, "Got you covered."
Breona
Taking a deep breath, Breona reloaded her crossbow. I'll have to check the guards to see if they have more or salvage mine. Rising panic at the thought of pulling bolts out of corpses is quickly suppressed as Breona aimed at one of the guards surrounding Jay Zin in furious rage.

For all that her first shot had gone astray from a shaky hand, this one pierced her target deeply. Thump. That sound again. She was not a waste of space in this fight. She mattered.
Mechanus
Amazed at the skills of his new companions, Mechanus cocked his head to try and determine whether they also implants.
He moved aside and continued to provide support with his charged attacks.

Daks
Sidestepping, C5 Daks readied another crackling arrow, relentless in his assault. We can do this. Don't let up. He said as his team beat away at the guards. I can do this. I have to. Just don't... Let... Up... And with that he let another arrow fly. Attack Guard 3: 1d20 ⇒ 2 <Missed>
Azzuretta had watched as the paint canister had flown into the air and was lining up to catch it when the loud thinking man had destroyed it.... Yet another reason to not like him... She was disappointed but saw that Jay was being attacked by three enemies. She decided in that moment that she needed to get back into the fight. Taking to wing she swooped in on the closest guard to her.

She nipped at him getting mostly a mouthful of boiled leather and padded cloth for her troubles.
All foes but two dead from the party’s blows, a remaining guard made to pierce Jay Zin but his spear deflected off a wall of light that appeared as the spear tip approached. The guard had a look of confusion on his face when suddenly three arrows appeared in his chest.
Arrows from above cut down into the remaining guards, killing all that remain. You all look up to see that the rebels have made their way across the second floor and now control the landing. Fannar gestures for you all to come upstairs. The second floor is little more than a balcony overlooking the first floor room and wrapping around towards another stairwell going up to the third floor.
The rebels came through a long hallway that opens into the western wall, once you take the stairs up, you can see down the hallway that there are a number of bodies, mostly guards but some rebels as well.
You see that the guards keep a rack of arrows and bolts at the top of the stairs, you could restock ammo there if needed.
Once you all approach Fannar on the landing, he thanks you all for your efforts clearing the lower floor.
“You have all done a great service to the cause today. Mintz is on the floor above, once we take him out, we will have secured this compound. Our next step will be to consolidate our position here and to scout across the town to see whether or not the other cells have succeeded against their targets. We can discuss the next steps more once we clear this building and have Mintz dead.”
Action 1 - Briefly Talk to Fannar. Resupply ammo. Assume that you threw all the cyphers from the other room into a bag, this turn is last chance to re-sort them into your individual inventories without taking penalty from too many cyphers in one place rules. Mechanus - your display flashes to notify you that the Glow power source is at 50%
You proceed up the stairs with Fannar Bryn and the rebels. There is a secured door at the top of the stairs. Bryn attaches a device to the door and gestures that everyone move back. He activates the device and runs for cover. You all prepare yourselves, when you expect an explosion to blow the door in, instead a thick stillness settles into your minds. Your nerves are calmed. Your minds become clear. You can see a sort of miasma emerge from the device, the larger the shape grows, the more you are all filled with calm, slowly becoming happiness & even joy. The miasma slowly turns from blue, to purple, and finally a deep blood red. You are held in a stupor. <Discovery - Miasma Box +1xp>

The stillness holding onto your mind, the door melts inwards and you all see the miasma seep through the hole and take a vaguely humanoid shape. The faces of the guards in the room look just like you feel, calm and relaxed. They curiously watched the shape approach. Two guards stood between the door and Mintz. The miasma reached its arms out and touched the two guards, the arms appeared to linger for a moment on the armor of the guards & then appeared to merge into the guards. Suddenly, the two guards began shaking violently and collapsed to the floor. Moments later, the soporific effect appeared to have broken, the glowing rebels leapt into action, meeting the guards whose shields slowly raised into place, spears at the ready. Fannar entered the room with authority, and Mintz was shouting commands to his guards. The Miasma still appeared vaguely humanoid, but after dropping the two guards, now had a gray color and did not appear to be moving.
Action 3 - Combat
New Home-Brew Cypher Capacity Rule (You may retroactively grab a cypher if you want):
You can exceed your cypher cap by up to 2 cyphers. But, instead of only getting free GM intervention on rolls of 1, I would get free intervention on rolls of 1 + (amount exceed cap.)
Example: if you are a nano with cap of 3 and carried 5 cyphers (exceed by 2), anytime you rolled a 1,2,or 3 I would get a free DM Intervention.
Example: if you were a Jack with 3 cyphers(exceed by 1), I would get DM Intervention anytime you rolled a 1 or a 2.
