Position Overview |
The HSF Ambassador is a program designed to compensate students for using their voices to spread the word about Matriculate. This program ends in May 2025 (with possibility to extend into July.) The Ambassador Program has 3 specializations, and each Ambassador can only do one specialization. The specializations are as follows with more details below: - Live Event Outreach (LIO)
- Written Word Outreach (WO)

- College Leadership 101 with our National Advising Fellow Leadership Team

Candidate qualifications |
- Must be one of the following:
- A current Advising Fellow or Returning Advising Fellow in the 2025 cohort who is fully certified and in good standing
- Former Advising Fellow who has completed at least one full advising term in good standing
- HSF Alumni
- HSF Graduating in 2025

Position Description | HSF Recruitment Live Event Outreach Ambassadors (10 positions open): - Host five 30-minute live events virtually or in-person
- Practice with Matriculate staff beforehand
- These are the types of live events you can sign up to host:
- Matriculate 101 Info Sessions: Each month, the HSF Recruitment team hosts info sessions to high school students, families, and counselors on Matriculate. With support, you will lead these 30-minute info sessions to share your Matriculate experience and answer audience questions.
- College Application Webinars: The HSF Team hosts webinars on different parts of the college application process, such as essays, summer programs, and scholarships. You will be a guest speaker to share your experiences and tips.
- (Required) Matriculate 101 Info Session to Your Community: Reach out to your own high school, counselor, school club, or community center to share about Matriculate. You are the trusted voice on the ground there! We provide the email template, slides and script.
- You would be a good fit for this position if you love public speaking and sharing more about your Matriculate experience!
HSF Recruitment Written Outreach (10 positions open): - The HSF Recruitment will design blog posts and you will sign up to write on the topics. You can also think of your own topic. We will publish your content on our Student Resources Hub, or your work will be published on Appily.
- You would be a good fit for this position if you're a fabulous writer and are looking for avenues to get published for writing college-going content!
- Using Matriculate’s Reddit account, you will carry out Matriculate’s Reddit strategy and provide advice to users in r/applyingtocollege.
- During your onboarding, you will sign up for 3 weekly shifts.
- Each weekly shift, you will comment on 5 posts offering advice.
- You will take a screenshot of your comments and submit them in a form at the end of your shift.
- You will provide any feedback, insight, and advice on how to improve Matriculate’s Reddit strategy.
- You would be a great fit for this position if you love giving out unsolicited college-going advice and want to share it with the world!

Compensation | $75 upon completion of 5 ambassador duties. |
Schedule | Must fulfill all Ambassador duties by May 31st.
