25th May, 1924.
Dear Mr. Leyland,
On the 19th of June my Exhibition will be opened at The French Gallery, 120 Pall Mall,[1] and would be very glad if you would kindly give me the opportunity of including the portrait of Mrs. Leyland [9975] in my collection. The picture ought to arrive at the Gallery at latest on the 15th of June. Of course all expenses and insurance I bear.
As I am leaving on Wednesday for Rome and return only on the 14th of June, will you kindly send your decision to the Manager of the French Gallery, 120, Pall Mall, S.W. as the catalogue has to be arranged. In case you write to me also your letter will be forwarded. I much hope that your decision will be in the affirmative.
Kindly convey my homage to Mrs. Leyland.
And believe me to be,
Yours sincerely,
SMDL
