10/31/17 Two talented graduating seniors will be selected to represent Texas at the 2018 National Youth Science Camp (NYSC). Student delegates attend the STEM and outdoor adventure program, at no charge. Travel is included. The students also spend several days in Washington, DC.

The Summit is an event that empowers youth to end teen dating violence and intolerance. Summit is an excellent opportunity for teens and adults to learn about the issue of teen dating violence, how to address it, and the role they can play in establishing healthy relationships. There will be swag bags with freebies, coupons, and other items. There will be free breakfast and lunch for all who attend!!!

An evening legal clinic for individuals who wish to apply for free legal services through Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, Volunteer Legal Services, and Bastrop County Bar Association will be held Feb. 2, March 1, April 5 and May 3 at Bastrop Intermediate School library, 509 Old Austin Hwy, Bastrop. At the clinic, applicants complete an application and may briefly meet with a volunteer attorney to discuss their legal problem. All applications are then later reviewed by Legal Aid to determine if the applicant is eligible for representation. No criminal or immigration matters. Applicants may sign in between 4:15 and 6 p.m. No one will be allowed to sign in after 6 p.m. Spanish language interpreters are available at each clinic. 12/15/14 The Baron de Bastrop Scholarship has extended their deadline to this Friday, 12/19/14. The scholarship is in the green scholarship book and it was announced for a month prior. There have been no Seniors from Bastrop High School to submit an application. Come on Seniors!! That's free money.

10/29/14 The ASVAB test will be given free at BHS on Friday, November 7th. The ASVAB measures your strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success. The ASVAB also provides you with career information for various civilian and military occupations and is an indicator for success in future endeavors whether you choose to go to college, vocational school, or a military career. If you would like to sign up to take the ASVAB you can do so in the College and Career Center. Deadline to sign up is Monday, November 3rd.

10/7/14 Senior students taking ACC classes this semester: We will offer Introduction to Psychology and Texas Government next semester through ACC. The Texas Government class is required at many Texas colleges. Check with your college then take it here next semester to avoid college tuition for that class.
10/6/14 The "Voice of Democracy Scholarship" is open to all High School Students 9-12th grades and November 1st is the deadline for applying.

10/3/14 The deadline has been extended to register for the SAT Prep classes! The deadline to turn in registration forms to the College and Career Center, room 205, is now 4:30 pm on October 8th. Only 45 seats are available for the fall session. Seniors will receive priority registration. See Ms. Johnson in the college and career center for more information.
