Dear Sir,

We have to-day had a visit from the Hon. George Peel,[1] who wishes to know what your charge would be for a portrait of his daughter, aged five years,[2] the same size as that of Miss Betty Ramsden [6922] in the present exhibition.[3]

Should he decide to have the portrait done, he would be glad to know if you could paint it during October, or possibly in the South of France during the winter, at Mr. Peel’s villa.

We shall be glad to hear from  you as to this.
