30th August, 1932.

Dear Mr. Williams,

I have just returned from the country, and received your letter. I was very glad to hear from you, and if you are in Town any time I would be glad to see you here and to show you my studio. It is many years since we met, and I hope you and your family are all well.

I would see your young friend the artist any time within the next ten days, after 5 o'clock in the afternoon.[1] I say within the next ten days because it may be that I shall have to go to the Continent for a “cure”.

Yours sincerely,

Oakley Williams, Esq.,

Newlyn,

Lower Shiplake,

Henley-on-Thames.
