Good morning JB.

The class of 2024 is selling Krispy Kreme Donuts and Coffee.  Order Due Date is November 12th

Attention Freshmen! If you are interested in becoming a “Class Officer”, please pick up your application outside of room 107.  Applications are due by October the 30th

 Next week, we will have virtual college information sessions with St Francis University, Slippery Rock University, Susquehanna University, and the University of Valley Forge. If you have any questions or would like to sign up for any of these sessions, please see Ms Mummert in the Counseling Office.

(10/29 + 10/30) Today is College Application Day! Seniors - come to the library during your free periods to work on your college applications, scholarships, resumes, and job applications!

Class of 2022 is selling cookie dough, coffee, and tickets for subs or pizza all from the Butcher Shoppe in Chambersburg. Please help the juniors reach their goal of  8,000 dollars in sales.

Please read 10/29 and 10/30: Seniors, after paying $1 to your homeroom teachers, you may Trick or treat through the hallways.  Please try to space yourselves out and maintain your distance.  Also, don’t forget about the library, the 300 wing and the office in your travels!

Correction- boys basketball open gym this week will be on Wednesday 7-8:30

TWEP is holding its annual Nature Photography Contest.The deadline to enter is October 28th. Entry forms must accompany each of the photos. These forms can be found and downloaded on TWEP’s website at www.twep.org under the tab “Events” or you may pick up a form in the office. Entries can be dropped off at the JBHS office or JBMS office on October 26 - 28. Currently TWEP plans to display the entries virtually and hold them for a display in the spring with the hopes of having the Center open in 2021.

Please read 10/26 - 10/30        Any student interested in swimming for the swim team must see Coach Veirtz at the pool to get instructions on how to join.  The swim team is a great sport so please consider joining. If you like the pool and you like to swim we have room for you. Come to the pool and get some information! Open Swim starts Tuesday, October 27 from 3:30 until 4:45.

Congratulations to Meredith Iverson for earning the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Award!  This is awarded to a student that best exemplifies these qualities:          

  1. Dependability which includes truthfulness, loyalty and punctuality

2. Service  which includes cooperation, courtesy and consideration of   others      

3. Leadership  which includes personality, self-control and the ability to assume responsibility and    

4. Patriotism which includes unselfish interest in family, school, community and nation to an outstanding degree.  Meredith, again - congrats and please stop in the counseling office to receive additional instructions.
