Audiopollination Guelph 2026-2027

Audiopollination Guelph is a monthly music and arts event featuring ad hoc ensembles performing freely improvised creative music. All ages, skill levels, backgrounds, and artistic disciplines are welcome, including visual artists, dancers & poets. This is a space to experiment and discover new sound-making and artistic methods.

Audiopollination Guelph is also devoted to being identity-affirming space for all people, please come as you are and/or as you desire to be! We have a zero tolerance policy for homophobia, racism, sexism, ableism and all other violent ideologies that hurt people and destroy communities. If you are making someone else unsafe due to harassment, abuse, bullying or other forms of discrimination you will be asked to leave.

The purple slots are there in order to ensure that space is prioritized for people who historically have been locked out of improvised and creative music spaces. If you feel you belong in that category, then that space is for you. If you feel you could belong there, but would rather sign up in one of the other slots, that space is also for you.

Feel free to sign up on whichever day and time works best for you and we’ll see you there!

  • Sets will be in duos and trios and will be approximately 20 minutes.
  • Please only sign up for only TWO shows max over the season to give as many artists a chance to perform as possible.
  • When you sign up for a show please send an email to audiopollinationguelph@gmail.com to confirm!
  • Slots are first come first serve and for only one individual. If you see a free spot next to some people you don’t know, consider signing up! This is a great opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and connect with new individuals musically.
  • Please specify your instrument or artform next to your name.

Venue: Silence, 46 Essex St., Guelph

There will be no cost to perform and all money collected at the door will be split between performers/the venue!

All sets are recorded and archived on YouTube!

This event is a space of improvisational freedom for all, but please be considerate of the impact your performance has on other performers and audience members.

We have access to microphones, a piano, a drum-set, and bass/guitar amps in the venue. For visual artists, there is a projector with a DVI connection, but please bring your own adapter. Please try to bring all of your own equipment to the event. If you do need additional equipment for your performance please contact Emjay at the email address above and we will attempt to accommodate using Silence’s equipment.

Audiopollination Guelph is a fragrance free event!

Audiopollination Guelph is presented in collaboration with Silence!
