Schooling: Schooling will be permitted in our front ring starting at 8:30am. Due to the size of the arena, please keep this limited to 3-4 riders at a time. Course walks will be allowed at the beginning of the day prior to 9am, or in-between riders if the arena is empty.
Rules: All riders must wear a helmet and boots with a heel. No exceptions will be made. Riders are not required to dress formally, and are encouraged to dress for the theme. Riders participating in the costume contest may compete in their costume the entire day (if it is safe), or may change prior to the costume contest.
Horse Rental: There may be opportunities to rent a horse if needed. Please reach out to Olivia for more info on this.
Jump Classes: All jump and trot-a-pole classes are not to be judged. These classes will be constructed in rounds of go’s within a timely manner, but only the starred (*) classes will be placed. Horses may not compete in more than three jump rounds, not including trot-a-pole, fun classes, in-hand classes, and flat classes.
Classes and Schedule
Classes are all-levels friendly; you may utilize an assist (friend, parent, trainer, etc) if needed throughout your round. First class begins at 9am. Estimated finish time of the day will be calculated once entries are in!
20min Break
Judged Rounds: Only the starred (*) rounds are to be judged.
Fun Class Descriptions:
🍎Bobbing for Apples: Bring your horse out, and see who can bob the most apples. Horses must be held in hand. This will be in a public area available for participants to do throughout the day. Take pictures!
👻Costume Contest: To be held at the end of the day. Dress up with your horse, in hand or under saddle, and show off your style! Best-dressed wins! Costumes can be worn the entire duration of the show, or can be changed into prior to the costume contest. Sharing a horse? Plan a group costume!
🍬Candy Crash Relay: Pair up with a buddy! Riders must be able to share a horse. Rider #1 (on horseback) and Rider #2 (on foot) enter the ring at the same time. Rider #1 must complete their entire course while Rider #2 collects as much candy as possible without crashing into their buddy. The riders then swap and repeat the process with Rider #2 on horseback, and Rider #1 on foot. The pair who collects the most amount of candy in each division wins! Choose the level (X-Rail or Trot-A-Pole) you and your buddy will be most successful at!
