DONOR NAME(S): MR. AND MRS. GEORGE D. ALBANO
Frank Albano and Agnes Palermo were married in Moleterno, Potenza, Italy. They came to the United States and settled in Washington, PA. in 1919. They were the parents of three children: Antoinette, George, and Frank, Jr. Frank worked in coal mines and glass factories, but always had a love of gardening. His specialties were tomatoes and corn. In 1946, with his son, George, he opened a retail food store. Later with both George and Frank, Jr. (Skip), they entered the wholesale produce business.
Today, George and his son, William, operate a thriving produce business in Washington, PA.
