  • Each student, or team of students, will use previous and new knowledge to create a final project that incorporates student use of technology to update a current, or create a new unit with technology resources, exemplars, scenarios and/or assessments.

  • As part of its project each team should identify, critique, and recommend sample Web 2.0 tools, iPad apps and assistive technology that support specific curriculum standards and incorporate the Technology GEs.

  • One option is to design a lesson plan that incorporates an iPad or set of iPads into the classroom, using Differentiated Instruction, Project Based Learning and 21st Century Skills.

  • Another option is to demonstrate skills in the appropriate use of information technology by creating the equivalent of three lesson plans or a complete unit that incorporates technology and best teaching practices using a variety of technology tools including Web 2.0 resources/tools.

  • Another option for your project would be to create a brief presentation that outlines how you will use the tools, what the tools are, when you will use the tools, the standards you will cover and what you hope to accomplish with the project.

  • Each project must incorporate Common Core standards and Technology standards - the NETS - S,  into their planning and projects throughout the class.

  • Explain your timeline for implementing the project - when in the year will this occur, when in the day will this occur, for how long, how many times will you meet, what will you do if the project runs long?

  • Make sure that you explain how you will incorporate Universal Design for Learning principles and will use Differentiated Instruction when you implement your project.

  • Explain how you will assess the learning that will occur during the lessons or unit you are teaching.

  • Each person will write a 1/2 page reflection and narrative on why you chose your project and how it will make your teaching more effective.
