Children will learn how matter can change from one form to another.

How can the states of matter change?

- Whole Group: Model using water, ice and steam.

- Experiment: How a solid and liquid can create a gas.

Utilize a balloon, baking soda,vinegar and test tube. Students will identify items as solid, liquid and gas. Record the reaction of the baking soda and vinegar causing the balloon to inflate on its own. The mixture of baking soda and vinegar creates carbon dioxide which inflates the balloon

- How did the water change?

- Which two states of matter were used to create another state of matter?
