EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This document presents conclusive evidence that artist Mothdusky has systematically traced AI-generated artwork while denying these allegations to her supporters and clients. Through discovery of her secret DeviantArt account, we have proven that:

  1. She admitted to tracing in 2023 under her previous alias "Fireinklings"
  2. She continues tracing to this day - as recently as October 19, 2025
  3. She actively collects AI art in her DeviantArt favorites to use as source material
  4. She pays hundreds of dollars annually to AI art generators while publicly condemning AI
  5. She has deceived her entire community while they defended her

This represents one of the largest documented cases of art fraud in furry fandom history, with nearly 100% of her portfolio consisting of traced AI artwork sold to unsuspecting clients.

We ask that you read this evidence carefully and draw your own conclusions.

IMPORTANT: COMMUNITY SAFETY NOTICE

Do not under any circumstances threaten Mothdusky in any way, shape or form.

  • Do not send messages telling her to harm herself
  • Do not threaten to harm her yourself
  • Do not wish harm upon her

We are presenting evidence of fraud and deception. Violence and harassment are never acceptable responses. If you feel angry, channel that energy into warning others and supporting affected artists.

Please retweet and share this document to get as many eyes on it as possible.

She hasn't created original art. She's been running a tracing operation.

What a way to prove yourself huh

Each comparison clearly shows identical poses, anatomy, composition, and lighting that could not occur by coincidence.

With over 70 different pieces now confirmed as traces, and zero verifiable original artwork in her entire recent portfolio, we can state with absolute certainty:

Mothdusky has traced every single piece she's produced for at least the past two years.

This isn't speculation. This is statistical reality. When you find 70+ traces and cannot find a single original work, the probability that "just those specific pieces" were traced approaches zero.

At this point, you might be wondering: "How did the investigation team find so many traces so quickly?"

The answer will shock you.

SECTION II: THE SMOKING GUN - MOTHDUSKY'S SECRET DEVIANTART

How We Found 70+ Traces So Fast

You're probably wondering: how did we find over 70 traces in 2 days when Doc 1.0 took like a week and a lot of people for only 20?

The answer is simpler than you think.

The Discovery

Mothdusky knows exactly how we did it. She's probably frantically deleting her DeviantArt account right now.

But it won't matter.

We've already archived everything: every image, every favorite, every subscription, every payment, every secret.

Meet "foxylove21" - Mothdusky's secret DeviantArt account.

The Smoking Gun

She's been favoriting the exact AI artwork she traces.

While publicly denying everything, she was building a favorites collection of AI art to trace.

See those red circles? Every single one matches artwork she traced and sold.

This is her shopping cart. She browses AI art, favorites pieces she likes, then traces them for clients.

We Stopped at 70+

We stopped counting at 70+ confirmed traces - not because we ran out, but because that's already damning enough.

Her favorites are full of hundreds more AI pieces. Everything she'll trace in the future is probably already sitting there, waiting.

Preserved Forever

The evidence has been preserved in multiple formats:

  • Clickable, scrollable archive: Preserved and accessible
  • Wayback Machine backup: Permanently stored
  • Complete download package: Available for anyone to verify

Even if she deletes everything right now, the truth remains.

SECTION III: CONNECTING MOTHDUSKY TO THE DEVIANTART ACCOUNT

Her Own Confession (August 2023)

In August 2023, Mothdusky herself tweeted an apology admitting that her old account "@fireinklings" contained traced artwork. She claimed she had "moved on" and that no art had been traced since "early May of this year."

This was a lie.

The Reddit Connection

This is Mothdusky's old Reddit account from 3 years ago. Note the signature on this pride flag artwork: it clearly shows her Fireinklings alias.

The TikTok Connection

The same artwork appears on Mothdusky's TikTok account in 2022, confirming ownership.

The DeviantArt Account

On the DeviantArt account "foxylove21," we find the same artwork with the identical Fireinklings signature.

This piece shows BOTH her DeviantArt username and her old Fireinklings watermark - undeniable proof of ownership.

Recent Activity Proves Ongoing Use

The account shows activity as recently as today (October 19 2025), proving Mothdusky still actively uses this DeviantArt profile.

The Audacity:

SECTION IV: CAUGHT IN THE ACT - OCTOBER 2025

This is where the evidence becomes absolutely damning.

October 19, 2025: Work in Progress Posted

Mothdusky posts this "work in progress" of a commission she's working on. She's presenting this as her own original artwork in development.

October 15, 2025: The AI Source Material

In her DeviantArt favorites, we find the AI-generated source she's tracing - posted just 4 days earlier.

Btw

The poses match perfectly. The anatomy matches perfectly. The composition matches perfectly.

Here's something crucial that destroys her "AI stole from me" defense:

We can verify that Mothdusky has NEVER posted artwork before its AI counterpart appeared.

Not once. Not ever.

Every single traced piece follows this pattern:

  1. AI art appears on DeviantArt/online
  2. Mothdusky favorites/saves it
  3. Days/weeks/months/YEARS later, she posts her "commission"

If AI was really stealing HER work, we'd see the reverse - her work appearing first, THEN the AI copies. But that never happens.

Let's Think About Her Claims Logically

Mothdusky wants you to believe that:

  • 10+ different AI artists(and real artists)
  • Wolfs-chaser
  • aihell55
  • rotcivakiravg
  • TheAiFurDen
  • PlagueDogAi
  • VoidAmnesia
  • SultryWhisperArt
  • TheBigMt
  • Isaris-Ai
  • NSFWAdoptz
  • MuiWaif
  • Masyafy
  • LunaFurArts
  • LewdTF
  • FurryBowel
  • SexyCutiesShop
  • Dinochasecmmnote
  • Cinderwaw
  • Barafurryguys
  • VictorHarlowAI
  • Deus-Irae
  • Cyanideson1
  • pe4enka-tut
  • Belmarkai
  • 9klipse
  • Somehow obtained her WIPs
  • Y E A R S before she posted them
  • And independently created AI versions
  • Using img2img technology
  • All without her knowledge
  • For dozens upon dozens of pieces

Let's be clear: This is virtually impossible.

For this to be true:

  • Every AI artist would need access to her private files
  • They'd need to generate AI art and post it years in advance
  • They'd need to perfectly predict her posting schedule
  • This would need to happen consistently across 70+ pieces
  • Involving completely different AI artists who don't know each other

The probability of this? Zero.

The probability that she's simply tracing AI art? 100%.

The timestamps don't lie. The AI always comes first.

More Recent Traces in Her Favorites

These AI pieces were favorited days ago and correspond to recent "commissions" she's been working on.

SECTION V: THE ULTIMATE HYPOCRISY - SHE PAYS FOR AI ART

The Most Damning Evidence Yet

Mothdusky has publicly condemned AI art as "theft from real artists," while she's positioned herself as a victim of AI technology, while she's claimed AI is destroying the art community...

She's been paying hundreds of dollars to AI art generators. Lets check her favorites on DA….

(Theres a lot more, you can search them on the DA archive)

Let's break down what we're seeing :

  • $24/year SUBSCRIPTION to TheAiFurDen
  • $12/year sub to VictorHarlowAI
  • $12/year sub to GenAIBooru ($144 total in last year)
  • $100 pack from NSFWAdoptz
  • $100 pack from VeilAI
  • $99 pack from lurimae
  • $50 pack from bunnyberry
  • $10 pack from TERATOXIN
  • Multiple gallery purchases and subscriptions to AI content creators
  • Total visible: $644.12 - and this is what we can estimate (up to)

She's Not Just Using AI - She's Funding It

This isn't someone who stumbled across free AI images. This is someone who:

  1. Actively seeks out AI content creators
  2. Pays premium subscriptions to access their content
  3. Purchases bulk packs of AI-generated artwork
  4. Supports the AI industry financially while condemning it publicly

The Question She Can't Answer

Why was Mothdusky favoriting AI artwork of "her" drawings years before she posted them?

According to her story, these AI artists "stole" her work. So why is she:

  • Favoriting their "stolen" versions?
  • Subscribing to their content?
  • Paying them money?
  • Saving them to her collections?
  • Never once reporting them or calling them out?

If someone was really stealing your artwork and generating AI copies, you'd be furious. You'd report them. You'd call them out publicly. You'd warn other artists.

But Mothdusky did none of that. Instead, she:

  • Paid them
  • Favorited their work
  • Collected their content
  • Stayed silent

Why? Because they weren't stealing from her.

She was shopping for her next trace.

The favorites list is her shopping cart. The subscriptions are her supply chain. The AI artists are her unwitting suppliers.

She never said anything because there was nothing to say. It was never theft. It was her business model.

The Pattern Becomes Crystal Clear

Remember her suspiciously abusive Terms of Service? The one that states:

  • Almost no modifications allowed
  • No refunds under almost any circumstances
  • Take it or leave it

Now we understand why. She literally cannot make modifications.

She doesn't have the skill or the time (because of having +200 pending items on her trello QUEUE | Trello) to redraw elements because she never drew them in the first place. She can't adjust anatomy that she didn't think of, can't change poses (Without a lot of time of searching another AI image that works for that piece), can't modify compositions - because all she can do is trace what the AI gives her.

The Business Model Exposed

Let's be clear about what's happening here:

  1. She pays AI generators up to $644 per year for content
  2. She traces that AI content
  3. She sells the traced work for $50-200+ per commission
  4. She profits massively while doing almost no actual work

She's found a way to:

  • Steal from real artists (via AI training data)
  • Pay AI thieves to do the stealing for her
  • Resell stolen art with minimal effort
  • Keep 100% of the commission price

This is a calculated business operation, not a mistake.

The Cruelty of It All

This is where it transcends simple fraud and becomes genuinely malicious:

She doesn't care about anyone.

Not her clients who paid for "original" art. Not her defenders who fought for her. Not the art community she claims to be part of. Not even the real artists whose work feeds the AI she pays for.

She cares about fast, easy money. Period.

That's why she doesn’t want to do revisions. That's why her TOS is so restrictive. That's why she blocks anyone who asks questions. Because the moment someone asks her to actually draw something herself, the entire scam falls apart.

She needs stolen art to make money off everyone. That's the bottom line. She doesn't care about her clients enough to actually learn to draw. She doesn't care about the community enough to be honest. She doesn't care about art enough to create it. She doesn’t EVEN care about her friends to do the colors correctly.

She only cares about profit.

Active Encouragement of Art Theft

By paying these AI content creators, Mothdusky is:

  • Directly funding the technology she claims to oppose
  • Encouraging more AI art generation
  • Rewarding people who profit from stolen artist data
  • Contributing to the exact problem she pretends to care about

She's not a victim of AI. She's a willing participant and financier.

Every time she complained about AI art, every time she positioned herself as standing against it, she was lying. She was paying for it. She was using it. She was profiting from it.

SECTION VI: THE PATTERN OF DECEPTION

What She Told You

Throughout this controversy, Mothdusky has repeatedly told her supporters:

  • "I don't trace AI artwork"
  • "My old friends fed my WIPs into AI"
  • "I shared them mistakenly in Discord servers"
  • "Clients may have put them into AI"
  • "Everything since May 2023 has been original"
  • "AI art is theft and I would never support it"

What She Actually Did

While swearing she doesn't trace AI, she was actively:

  1. Maintaining a secret DeviantArt account
  2. Paying up to $644 annually to AI art generators
  3. Collecting AI artwork in her favorites
  4. Tracing that AI artwork for paid commissions
  5. Doing this as recently as THIS WEEK

The Fabricated Evidence

To support her lies, Mothdusky:

  • Altered text message screenshots
  • Fabricated canvas timestamps
  • Publicly shamed anyone who questioned her
  • Blocked critics to silence doubt
  • Used self-victimization to manipulate sympathy
  • Created an ironclad TOS to prevent clients from requesting changes she couldn't make

SECTION VII: THE DEPTH OF BETRAYAL

Who She Fooled

Mothdusky didn't just deceive strangers. She betrayed:

  • Her paying clients who believed they were buying original art
  • Her defenders who fought for her in comment sections
  • Her friends who vouched for her character
  • Fellow artists who gave her benefit of the doubt
  • The entire furry art community that welcomed her

The Hypocrisy

While the community tore itself apart debating her innocence, while people received harassment for defending OR accusing her, Mothdusky sat back knowing the truth.

She watched good people fight each other. She watched friendships end. She watched her defenders get ridiculed.

And she said nothing.

Instead, she went to her secret DeviantArt account, paid for more AI artwork subscriptions, saved more AI pieces to her favorites, and traced them for her next commission.

SECTION VIII: A MESSAGE TO MOTHDUSKY

You Actually Had Talent

Your early original work showed genuine skill and passion. You clearly loved art - that much is obvious from your old posts.

Why?

That's what makes this so tragic. You HAD the ability to improve legitimately. You COULD have been a respected artist in this community.

But instead of putting in the work, you chose the shortcut. And worse - you chose to lie about it while paying the very AI systems you claimed to hate.

You Used Everyone

You took every person who fought for you, who believed in you, who supported you, and treated them like gullible fools. You spoon-fed them lies, knowing they'd defend you because they trusted you.

That's not just fraud. That's cruelty.

The Most Unforgivable Part

You had chances to come clean. Multiple chances. After the first accusations. After Doc 1.0. After people started asking serious questions.

But you didn't just stay silent - you actively kept going. You kept tracing. You kept paying for AI art. You kept selling it to unsuspecting clients.

You saw your defenders getting harassed and mocked for believing you. And you let it happen. Because your profit mattered more than their dignity.

Do the Right Thing

It's not too late to show you have some integrity left:

  1. Admit what you've done - fully and honestly
  2. Refund the clients you deceived - they paid for original work
  3. Apologize to your defenders - they deserved better
  4. Step back from commissions - until you can create them without using AI (How can we trust you anyways?)

The community that once welcomed you might have helped you improve. But you burned that bridge by choosing deception over honesty, and profit over people.

SECTION IX: TO THE COMMUNITY

For Those Who Offered Support

Extending the benefit of the doubt and believing in second chances are acts of compassion. Your willingness to show fairness and trust was not misplaced; it was betrayed. That responsibility lies with the individual, not with you.

For Those Who Raised Questions

Your skepticism and requests for verification were justified. Thank you for your courage in pursuing this matter, even when it proved uncomfortable.

A Word for Fellow Artists

This situation highlights the importance of protecting our community. Practices like art tracing and the fraudulent use of AI devalue genuine artistic talent, mislead clients, and break down the trust that is essential to our profession. These actions not only harm individual artists and their clients but also support an AI industry that often utilizes our work without consent, making it more difficult for legitimate artists to thrive.

Guidance for Commissioners

It is crucial to take steps to protect yourself when commissioning art. Here are a few key recommendations:

  • Review the Terms of Service (TOS): Be cautious with overly restrictive terms that prevent any modifications or input. While a TOS like that doesn't necessarily mean AI is involved, it can lead to the kind of bad experiences people had with mothdusky.
  • Look for Consistency: While artists can certainly have multiple styles, be mindful of drastic and unexplained variations across their portfolio. This doesn't automatically point to AI, but a lack of consistency was one of the issues that came up in situations like the one with mothdusky.
  • Request Preliminary Sketches: Don't hesitate to ask for initial sketches or works-in-progress. This is a standard part of the commission process for many artists. As this case has shown, sketches provide a crucial opportunity to give feedback and ensure the piece is heading in the right direction. This step helps prevent future disagreements regarding changes or refunds, ensuring a smoother process for both you and the artist.

Moving Forward

Let this serve as a learning experience for everyone. It is reasonable to ask questions and take steps to verify the work you are commissioning. Supporting artists who are transparent about their creative process benefits the entire community.

Every artist has a unique workflow and pace. Some are exceptionally efficient, and many are versatile in their styles. The key is open communication. Asking an artist about their process is a great way to learn and build a strong, trusting relationship. This approach is not about making accusations, but about protecting your investment and supporting the transparent, hardworking artists who are the foundation of our community.

CONCLUSION: THE LARGEST FURRY ART FRAUD CASE IN HISTORY?

With nearly 100% of her portfolio consisting of traced AI artwork, combined with documented proof of paying up to $644 annually to AI generators while publicly condemning them, this represents one of the most extensive and brazen cases of art fraud ever documented in the furry community.

The evidence is:

  • Undeniable: Her own accounts, her own favorites, her own payments, her own timeline
  • Recent: She was tracing as of this week
  • Extensive: Dozens upon dozens of pieces
  • Profitable: She charged real money for traced work
  • Hypocritical: She funded AI while claiming to oppose it
  • Calculated: The restrictive TOS, the blocking, the fabricated evidence - all deliberate

The Evidence Speaks

We don't need to convince you. The comparisons convince you. The DeviantArt archive convinces you. The payment records convince you. Her own admission tweet convinces you. The timeline convinces you.

Everything is archived. Everything is preserved. Everything is provable.

This Was Preventable

This didn't have to happen this way. If Mothdusky had been honest in August 2023, the community would have been disappointed but understanding. Artists make mistakes. Artists use references poorly. Artists learn and grow.

But she didn't choose honesty. She chose to double down. She chose to keep tracing. She chose to keep lying. She chose to keep paying for AI art. She chose to keep scamming her clients.

And now everyone knows.

CREDITS

This investigation was conducted by: Acidpooch, Lovelock, WrongJavi, Tigerx, and Wehtake

Thank you to everyone who read, shared, and discussed Doc 1.0. Your support made this final investigation possible.

We did this to protect the furry art community from fraud, not to destroy an individual. We hope this serves as a warning that dishonesty at this scale will be uncovered and documented.

To legitimate artists: Keep creating. Your work matters. Your effort matters. Don't let frauds like this discourage you.

To commissioners: Protect yourselves. Ask questions. Request progress shots. Support transparent artists.

To the community: We're better than this. We can be welcoming AND vigilant. We can be kind AND protect ourselves from fraud.

To Mothdusky: It's still not too late to make this right. But the window is closing fast.

LAST SECOND EXTRA

“The apology”

You are not, this apology is a masterclass in deflection, not accountability. You deliberately downplay years of tracing as "closely referencing recent work," a blatant lie when traced pieces from as far back as July 2024 have been found(ALMOST 2 YEARS) You conveniently ignore the fact that you paid for AI services while charging clients for "handmade" art, and you completely sidestep the calculated campaign of lies and gaslighting you waged against everyone who questioned you—fabricating timestamps, servers, and other "proof" of your innocence.

Offering to redraw pieces is insulting; there is zero trust that you won't simply trace again. This statement is not the act of someone seeking redemption, but rather a desperate attempt to mitigate the consequences of being caught. Until you can be honest about the full scope of your deception—the tracing, the lies, the financial deceit—this empty "I'm sorry" means nothing.

Note to community: Please be aware that the likelihood that Mothdusky has already begun or will begin generating her own AI material to trace is extremely high. The ability to find hard proof of tracing will drop to absolute 0 should this happen.
Given history, you can safely assume all future commissions and YCH’s are traced AI images she has generated herself.

https://civitai.com/models/2043006/mothdusky-style

A Civitai model has been made, I’m sure as a joke. But it has now become Moth’s golden ticket to image generating anything she wants with perfect style consistency.
Please be aware.
We will not find any evidence for any piece of art she posts past October 19th 2025. As she will be generating it all herself and saving it directly.

A sad ending, but such is life.

Hello, I’m leaving these two pages up just on principle, but you don’t actually NEED to read further.
Everything and more is in the improved revision on the first page.
Cheers and stay safe, don’t get mothed and don’t be a moth!    -Acidpooch

Small updates vvvv

To anyone who saw her “Apology” here she is reaffirming she didn’t mean a word she said to you all and that she is in fact, not sorry for scamming you out of your money and giving you traced art.
She only said sorry because her anxiety got bad and she allegedly received a threatening phone call..

She does not take accountability for her actions, and probably never will.

She will continue to sell traced art for all eternity and people will continue to buy it.

Sad ending, but such is life.

I’m sorry we couldn’t get justice for you all.

Still tracing :(

Moth caught in recent lies (but we already knew this)

Flatly denies the account being hers and claims she hasn’t had a deviantart in years..

She shares an image June 10th 2025 of her pc set up, a while showing a screen of waiting clients she’s about to scam, with her DeviantArt in an open tab on her computer.
Working hard on those commissions, eh Moth? smh

17th october 2025

 Hello again everyone!

We really appreciate everyone who read, shared, discussed and enjoyed the evidence compiled in
Doc 1.0.  That said, we’ve put together the final doc to this saga.

Within this thread will be undeniable proof, through thorough investigation we’ve uncovered an
Indisputable amount of evidence against Mothdusky.

By the end of this doc you will be able to view, judge and conduct your own investigative research as well.

Thank you Lovelock, WrongJavi, Tigerx and Wehtake for putting in an unbelievable amount of effort to             make not only this doc, but the previous one possible in the first place.

Let’s make this as short and sweet as possible.

And PLEASE retweet this, to get as many eyes on it as possible.

Do not under any circumstances threaten Mothdusky in any way shape or form. Do not send her messages that she should off herself, do not threaten to do it to her yourself, do not wish harm onto her.

First things first, we’ll go ahead and put forth the 32 additional traces that were found. These will be in a smaller size than the first doc simply to save space and time. Otherwise this will be over 100 pages of just images.

At this point I’m sure your heart is already in your stomach, right moth?

OKAY! Now that those are out of the way.
Moth knows exactly how we managed to get so many traces, so quickly.
She’s probably rushing to DeviantArt right now to delete her account, if she hadn’t already by the time she read my message above.

But that won’t make a difference as we have archived every last detail of her page.
Preserving every last image, favourite, gallery upload, comment and every other dirty secret she hides there.
Preserved, clickable, scrollable, forever.

Just to make double sure we also backed her gallery and favourites up to the wayback machine.

With that being said, let's move on to the next slide.

[ Prev rev ]

Mothdusky has time, and time, and time again told everyone, even those who supported her the most that she was not a tracer. That she has not traced any of the images we’ve already found. She told us her old friends fed her WIPS into AI. She told us she shared them mistakenly in furry and AI discord servers. She told us clients may have put them into AI.
She faked evidence by altering text messages, fabricating canvas times and dates, publicly shaming those who questioned her and attempted to silence doubt with blocks and self victimization.

She has taken each and every person who fought for her, who believed in her and who supported her for nothing but gullible fools who would be spoon fed any lie she says.

She was right, for a few… But hopefully with this, anyone who had doubts about the accusations against Moth this week can finally lay them to rest and know without a shadow of a doubt that Moth is indeed a scam artist, a liar and a manipulator.

Many of you have already seen this tweet, Mothdusky tweets from her own account in 2023 apologizing for her actions of tracing and scamming clients on her old account Fireinklings.

This is Mothdusky’s old reddit account, where she shared this drawing she made 3 years ago.

Please note the signature specifically.

Here is Mothdusky’s Tiktok account, where she posted the
same drawing in 2022

On Mothdusky’s DeviantArt page we can see this drawing with the same signature

Another drawing shows both her Deviantart username and her old watermark when she had assumed the name Fireinklings

Here we have some evidence that this account is still active and being used by Mothdusky

Here we see Mothdusky post about a YCH she’s working on right now, WIP posted October 19th 2025

And within Moth’s favourites on DeviantArt we find the AI counterpart, posted 4 days ago.

Mothdusky also favourites this piece

Which is published 2 days ago.

While Mothdusky is swearing up and down, begging you all to believe she doesn’t trace AI she is in fact saving AI pieces to her personal collection and actively tracing it to sell to you.

I have never seen ANYONE have such disregard for their friends, their fans, their believers and their fellow artists.

She has cemented herself within the furry art community, and abused those who thought they shared a common passion with her by lying to you, then behind your back doing the very action she SWEARSSSSS she’s not doing.

Anyway, that’s enough of that. I’m sure you all want to see the dA for yourselves
So here is a
Link which will only be valid until Moth deactivates her page.

Should she do that,
You can download the resources to view her page in full

Moth, for what it’s worth I actually really liked your old art on your dA account.
Your warrior cat drawings were good, your latest posts too, clearly you have a love for art and you’re good at it. Your Deviantart made me a little sad to look through, I saw my own childhood in your old posts. But what you’re doing right now, it’s wrong.
I wish we didn’t have to pin you into an impossible to explain away position… but you just weren’t going to do the right thing and confess, apologize and change your ways.

The fact you would save AI art and begin tracing your newest finds while the community that you’re meant to be part of tore each other apart in the comments over
your choices is wrong.

Please do the right thing and give back the money you’ve taken by being dishonest to your followers.

Updates and relevancies vvvvv

Moth continues to lie to the faces of everyone around her

I am sad to see this, but not surprised given her natural pattern of negative behaviour.
