My dear Duke
When I had luncheon with the Duchess & you last July, I so admired the beautiful sketch portrait which Mr de Laszlo had painted of your

wife [4423].[1] I would so like him to do a sketch portrait of me [113369] & I wonder if you who I believe know him very well would most kindly ask him if he would most kindly undertake the work![2]
It would be very kind of you if

you would do so & I do hope he will agree as I do so admire his sketch portraits I have recently seen by him
