Project: Money Counts | Time Frame: One Week | |||

Will introduce lesson on counting money. Students will watch a video showing the fundamentals of money value and counting money. | This day the students will complete a money counting worksheet to the best of their abilities. As well, student’s will work on their iPads and play on the money games provided. | Students will complete a second worksheet to measure their progression from the worksheet completed the previous day. Continue working on money game apps. | Student’s will partake in a Grocery Shopping Game that will further their practice using the skills they have learned. | Student’s will pick four items collectively that value at under $5 so that they do not exceed their group $20 limit on the computer. Throughout the week students were provided with “monetary” rewards for their good conduct and will be able to “buy” items from the classroom treasure box. |
