The goal of the Computer Club is to help SCSH residents use and understand computers in a friendly, hands-on environment by providing educational classes and workshop assistance.
Let us help make your tech life a little easier!
We offer hands-on classes, demo/presentation classes, lectures, workshops, and monthly meetings. Classes are announced quarterly at the general meeting. Classes range from iPad Tips & Tricks to Windows 10 Hands-On Instruction – and a lot of classes in between. You can sign-up for classes online! Go to the Calendar/Class Sign Up tab for a schedule of current classes and sign-up instructions.
All of our classes are taught by residents. We volunteer our time to coordinate, prep, and teach a variety of classes. The instructors enjoy working with and mentoring our neighbors! If you’re interested in teaching or assisting, please contact any of the Board Members – we’d love to hear from you and could always use some help!
As a club member, the activity that you don’t have to sign-up for is our Friday Open Workshops. Open Workshops are a great opportunity to get one-on-one assistance with your PC, Apple, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android issues.
This is not a formal class – just bring your questions, passwords, and cords and we’ll do our best to resolve your issues. Many of our members attend our workshops, so we’re able to spend approximately 15 minutes with each member before moving on to help the next member. Come in any time between 2:00 – 4:00. All of our classes and workshops are held in the Santa Rosa Clubhouse, Monterey Room.
Dues are $10 for the year and include EVERYTHING: all classes, demos, lectures, and Open Workshops. Our fiscal year is July 1 – June 30.
All residents are welcome to attend our monthly General Meetings held in the Montecito Clubhouse. You’ll find more information on our website under Meetings.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in an upcoming class!
