Temporary Homeschooling in a Nutshell
Welcome to homeschooling! I know this isn’t how you envisioned this spring going, nor your life plan for your kids’ education. But, there are many long time homeschoolers out here happy to help and try to make this transition a little less rocky for now. Join our Facebook Group for more links, resources, help and space to chat.
As an eight year homeschooler and former principal of a homeschool charter in California, I have many resources to share. The information below is designed to be a shell for you to fill in as suits your family, your schedule and your timeframes. It is also designed for neurotypical kids, so please feel free to modify and pull from various areas as needed. We’ve set up schedules that are heavy in online work so that if you are working from home, you can have pockets to keep doing what you need to do.
These folders link to a rough schedule you can use, along with suggested resources. If your child already has work assigned from school, use those instead wherever possible!
The night before, plan to check all links, resources and make sure that everything is working properly. All resources were free for a minimum of 30 days, as of 3/18/2020.
