The French Ambassador was present at a dinner party given on Saturday evening by Mr. Albert H. Whiten, at which other guests included General the Vicomte and the Vicomtesse de La Panouse, Lord and Lady Sydenham, Lady Burghclere, the Dowager Lady Camoys, Sir Evelyn Ruggles-Brise, Lady Matthews, and Mr. and Mrs. de Laszlo.
