Dear Mr László
I am so sorry I omitted to send the cheque for the Artists Benevolent Dinner. I much regret I cannot attend but I send herewith cheque for £2-2-0.
The moment my “show” closes, I shall send you a drawing as I promised; I am sorry to have had to be so long about it, but they continued my exhibition till Easter after the King came.[1] He was charming & bought a drawing.
