Update Log-Captain-Debbie Watson

Debbie woke up early that morning feeling nervous and excited. She and her crew were going to be the first humans to explore the planet M315700D. It was spotted by a NUSU telescope. The planet had the perfect conditions for life to evolve on it. It was located in a solar system in the Milkyway and it had a sun about the size of ours too.

As I explained what was going, Debbie got ready, entered her car and drove over to NUSUcorp. There, she met her crew. They were admiring their shuttle’s overwhelming beauty.

The time had come, they were in their suits and were ready to go. They entered the shuttle… after a few hours of exploring the shuttle, they got in their seats and waited for the countdown to begin. They didn’t say a word. “And here it comes” Debbie thought as the countdown began… 10, 9 ,8, 7…3, 2, 1, Launch. The shuttle launched suddenly and caught everyone off guard. They all grabbed their seats’ arms because everything was moving and they were feeling dizzy. Five minutes later they had exited the atmosphere and the autopilot booted up with a loud “beep”. Their destination was

5 quadrillion kilometres, so they knew it was going to be a long voyage. The mission was calculated to last 10 years and they were ready for everything.

“We’re here!” Debbie gasped.

“Are we sure this is not Earth, because this looks identical to me” said George.

“EXACTLY” Debbie exclaimed.

They looked at the planet while it was getting bigger as they were approaching it. Suddenly, a blue dot appeared from the planet, it was speeding up towards them but they couldn’t identify what it was. It was growing faster and faster together with their heartbeats. It was at the last moment when Debbie realised… it wasn’t a just a blue dot… it was some kind of ray and it was going to hit them. The light got even closer when finally, it hit their shuttle… everything turned black.

Debbie had blacked out. After an unknown period of time, she woke up and found herself floating in the middle of the void. She saw her friends… they were all dead. She stared breathing heavily and screamed. She was so far away from home, she was soon going to die too. She screamed and screamed and… suddenly… she felt something touching her leg. She was terrified. She screamed again even louder and lifted herself up. She saw her mother. “It was just a dream. Don’t worry” she said. Debbie was so relieved to hear that. She was never going to watch this kind of movies again. She hugged her mother and got back to sleep.
