what exactly is a starrcat??
A starrcat is a silly species of alien cats that live on a planet called mittykeow, which is located in the spinny system in the milky way galaxy!! The main/basic things that stand out about a starrcat’s appearance are their anthropomorphic cat-like appearance, cat-like ears on the top of their head, their antennae ( also on top of their head usually ), and the crescent moon they always have on the end of their tail!!
the three different types of starrcats!!
vanilla starrcat
these starrcats are most likely what you’d imagine in your head if someone asked you “what does a starrcat look like??” they have all of the most basic stand out features in the starrcat species, the antennae and crescent moon tail
they appear almost to be a kind of middle ground between the two other types of starrcats, fish and bug. they are usually fluffy in appearance and the most cat-like, although there can be variations on how a vanilla starrcat can look, with all starrcats being able to have a mix of different traits from the other kinds of starrcats
fish/sea starrcat
this kind of starrcat is unique compared to the other kinds of starrcats, due to the fact that they are incredibly good at swimming compared to the others, along with having less fur on some parts of their body and more fishy-like scales and fins. this is why they are called the fish starrcats!! they also tend to have paws with webbing between them, to help them swim even better. they are also capable of having different scales, antennae, or the crescent moon on their tail be bioluminescent!! they seem to be very similar to some sea creatures seen on eerth as well … as mentioned previously, these starrcats can also share many traits seen in other kinds of starrcats
bug/buggy starrcat
these starrcats appear the most vastly different from the other ones, with your typical buggy starrcat having compound eyes, compared to the vanilla starrcat’s non-compound eyes. these compound eyes are usually a solid color with no pupil or iris and are covered by a hard, shiny outer layer. they can also just have no eyes at all
they also tend to have multiple limbs ( or other body parts ), such as arms, legs, tails, or even eyes.
How their fur works also appears to be different compared to other starrcats, with it sometimes being more flakey, or there occasionally being starrcats with more grub-like tails
this kind of starrcat also tends to be shorter compared to the other ones. they also appear to be similar to different types of buggy critters on planet eerth … as mentioned previously, these starrcats can also share many traits seen in other kinds of starrcats
different features of a starrcat!!
some of these were mentioned in the descriptions of the different types of starrcats, but I thought I would put them here so they are more accessible!! this will also explain what you can’t put on your starrcat!!
- they can be similar to the antennae of the creature you might base your starrcat off of!! get silly and creative with them!!
- you can put antennae on their face like whiskers or on their back too!!
- they can be styled to look more round/pointed/fluffy/folded/etc, they can also have piercings and stuff too!!
- their tails can be fluffy, be a mixture of scales/fur, or be hairless if you have a hairless starrcat or a bug starrcat with a grub tail
- When a starrcats tail is fluffy, it’s cropped on the end in order to make room for the crescent moon on the end!!
- some starrcats with scaly tails can have bioluminescent scales!!
- starrcats can have multiple tails, I’m not going to put a limit on how many they can have per se, but I think you shouldn’t overdo it probably LOL
- on the end of every starrcats tail, they have a crescent shaped moon
- when a starrcat is a baby, the crescent moon on their tail will not be formed yet, instead being a full moon ( circle ). it makes a bell/ringing noise that is unique to each different starrcat, which is useful in the case that a young starrcat is lost from their parents. as they reach their teenage years and eventually become an adult starrcat, the moon becomes a crescent shape
- when a starrcat gets old and passes due to old age, the crescent moon on their tail falls off.
- some starrcats have a bioluminescent crescent moon on the end of their tail …
- a starrcat has paws, with them being similar to cats and all. they have retractable claws and paw pads, which both can help them grip items and things
- fish starrcats usually have webbed paws, which help them swim better.
- a starrcat’s paw pads can be any round-ish shape that you’d like
- some fish starrcats ( along with the occasional outlier that isn’t a fish starrcat ) have fins on their back, tail, or arms. these also help them with their swimming
- these can also be bioluminescent as well if you would like
- starrcat eyes are either non-compound ( like human/cat eyes ) or compound ( like a bug )
- non-compound starrcat eyes are like human eyes, having an iris and pupil etc., and compound starrcat eyes are one solid color. some starrcats also have no eyes at all, or multiple eyes. starrcats can only have one type of eye, you cannot have a mix of compound with non-compound
- starrcats can not have any wings or horns that are attached to their body, feel free to give them fake ones though if you would like!!
- warning for slight nsfw mention in this part, nothing serious just like anatomy stuff. starrcats cannot have breasts/nipples, as it is not not needed in their anatomy; feel free to give them a fluffy chest or spots on their chest/belly though

starrcat magic!!
starrcats have the ability to do many different things which would be considered “magical”, such as reading minds or being able to levitate things.
starrcats either hatch with a certain magical ability, or they are able to utilize an inanimate object as a vessel to use different magic abilities. some starrcats tend to be better at magic compared to others, but with practice and patience all starrcats are able to gain magic abilities!!
starrcats cannot just use magic on a whim all of the time; if they use too much of their magical ability they become weak, both mentally and physically, and some magic abilities take more energy out of them then others. a starrcat’s ability to use magic can also be affected by their emotions and mental wellbeing.
if a starrcat pushes themselves to the limit with their magic usage, it can permanently alter their mind or lead to their demise.
planet mittykeow!!
planet mittykeow is the home planet of the starrcats, located in the spinny system in the milky way galaxy. from space the planet appears to in the shape of a cat head due to the very large mountains on the planet, suspected to be created when the planet was first formed, and appears to be purple and pink-ish in color, along with having a artificially created ring around it, similar to the planet saturn ( why does the planet have a ring?? who is it married to … ( /joking ) ). it has four unique continents along with some different scattered islands scattered around the sea that covers the planet. the planet also is home to some very interesting fauna and flora.
continents
- the coldest continent on planet mittykeow, with most of it having more chilly temperatures even when the warmer weather starts.
- the second biggest continent; has the second largest mountain on the entire planet. said mountain is visible from space and gives the planet its cat-head-like appearance.
- this is the continent that the first vanilla starrcats were said to live
- the hottest continent on planet mittykeow, with most of it being hot and more desert-like, being very dry during the winter on the occasion it does get colder.
- the smallest continent
- this is the continent that the first bug starrcats were said to live
- the wettest continent on planet mittykeow, with temperatures varying depending on what part of the continent you are on. for the most part, it is covered in tropical-like forests with tall trees. it tends to rain quite a bit here.
- the third biggest continent
- this is the continent that the first fish starrcats were said to live
- temperatures and environments on this continent vary vastly; seasons usually don’t have abnormal temperatures.
- the biggest continent; has the largest mountain on the entire planet. said mountain is visible from space and gives the planet its cat-head-like appearance.
- this continent was not inhabited by any specific type of starcat. it varies the most in what type of starrcats live on it.
flora/fauna
the different critters living on this planet seem to be comparable to some creatures from eerth; but this seems to be just a coincidence.
there is a species on mittykeow that has a similar appearance to mice from eerth, but they have more pairs of legs and seem to be slightly bigger. they are also usually yellow in color.
starrcats also appear to have a species similar to roaches from planet eerth, but these bug-like critters are much bigger than the roaches on eerth. they are around the same size as a cat, and they are seen as pets to starrcats on mittykeow. they communicate with each other through different squeaky and clicky noises. also, they have the ability to fly short distances.
the flora on mittykeow is very interesting; it is significantly more colorful than the flora on planet eerth, with the colors of different plants and such all depending on where exactly it is grown. the different edible fruits and vegetables that come from these plants have various different unique shapes.

other notable astronomical objects
- a very large desolate planet that the mittykeow planet is in near orbit of; the planet is inhabitable due to it not having any water or food sources, but it has plenty of rare elements that the starrcats need, so sometimes some starrcats are sent to the planet to collect them. there is a constant very windy sandstorm on the planet due to the terrain being so dry.
- it is advised to wear the proper safety gear when visiting this planet due to the fact that the sand and dirt making contact with your skin will cause a burning and itching sensation that is very unpleasant.

- this moon is lavender in color

- this moon is a light pink in color
- the sun in the center of the spinny system, it is slightly bigger than the sun in eerth’s solar system.

random starrcat fun facts
- they speak a language that is strikingly ( and conveniently! ) similar to eerth human english language.
- some words are altered or simply do not exist in their language.
- starrcats come from eggs, which tend to be colored the same as the fur colors of the starrcat in the egg!!
- the eggs are soft shelled, so they need to be kept in a safe and soft spot to prevent any harm being done to it.
- starrcats often make similar noises to cats from planet eerth, and also make chirping, clicking, and squeaking noises occasionally too.
- starrcats also have similar gestures as eerth cats, such has folding their ears back when upset, and puffing out their tail when surprised or scared.
- starrcats call planet earth “eerth”, they are trying their best.

- similar to the eerth holiday of valentines, starrcats show their appreciation and love for one another by giving out cards, food, and affection!!
- celebrated when the first snow falls during winter, starrcats celebrate with a s'mores-like treat and put gifts by other starrcat’s doors,
- opposite of snowsyday; celebrated mostly in snowier climates when the snow finally melts all away. starrcats eat fruit and put gifts by other starrcat’s doors.
