This initial itinerary is a sample itinerary and does not reflect any academic programs. ARAMFO offers its travel courses to all fields of study. Therefore, our initial itineraries serve as a reference for the types of activities and locations available in the region. All customizations for academic programs are made on a case by case basis.
Arrival day in Prague
7 hours sightseeing tour around Prague
9am meeting at the hotel
9 - 12am tour focused on the Modern history: Daily life behind the Iron Curtain, visit to the Wenceslas Square where the Velvet revolution ended the Communist regime in 1989, Lucerna Palace and the legacy of the leader of the Velvet Revolution - Vaclav Havel who later became president, Memorial to the victims of the Communist regime, visit to the Museum of Communism
During those 3 hours we will tour the areas of the New Town, Old Town, and Lesser Town.
12-1pm lunch break in the Lesser Town.
Afternoon is free for self-exploration
10- 2 pm tour around the Castle district. See a few other places related to the Communist regime : a post of the State Secret police
We will visit the Castle and the Charles bridge at the end of the tour
Dinner in Old Town
Academic Activity and free afternoon
Transfer from Prague to Brno with a tour guide, a sightseeing stop at Brno, transfer to Bratislava
9am leaving Prague
11:30pm arrival at Brno to the Villa Tugendhat
12- 1:15pm a tour around the Villa
1:30 - 3pm a walk through the historic city center
a visit to the Ossuary under the church of St James
4:30 - 6:30pm journey to Bratislava
6:30/7pm arrival to Bratislava
Bratislava Old Town and Castle tour (10am – 1pm)
A full day trip to Sereď and Banská Štiavnica (9am – 7pm)
Travel to Vienna from Bratislava. Walking tour of historic city center
Visit Schoenbrunn Palace. back to Prague
