Last month’s Father’s Day Picnic was a success. We had a great turnout and everyone was able to have fun doing something, whether it was boating, playing or enjoying the different foods.
This month’s newsletter will be a little light, but there is still some information to share. There is also an important note about cooking for this month’s meeting.
So, please read on …

Father’s Day Picnic
In keeping with the annual tradition, JSCNC celebrated Fathers’ Day in a special outdoor picnic format. Many thanks to Rajen and Puja Doshi for sponsoring the event this year.
Hopefully, everyone enjoyed *something* during the whole event. In-between breakfast, lunch and snacks, people opted to walk, take boats rides, play volleyball or just chat in the nice shade under the shelter. My favorite part though was the “Dad hour” where young and old stood up in front of everyone and either said some nice words about their Dads, sang songs, delivered funny jokes and poems and even remembered some heartfelt memories of the great things their Dads did. It was truly a moving and fun experience.
Check out some of the memories made here, courtesy of Harshadbhai, Sudhirbhai and Rajenbhai:
Mahavir Jayanti Program DVDs
Most of the DVDs have been distributed to those who pre-registered and also were present at the last meeting (May). If you pre-registered and did not get your DVDs or if you would like to get copies, please see one of the Executive Committee members at the monthly meeting. The cost for the entire DVD set is $3 (Cash only)
