My deeply honoured Lord,

Your highly treasured letter was sent here to me. I would like to thank you for your kind notice. I beg your forgiveness for not having responded yet, however, I was waiting for “The Studio’s”  answer about the publication of the two pictures.

It is already two weeks since I sent them to London. At the same time, I have asked them about the date of publication, but until now no answer was sent to Pest during my absence.

I shall return home at the end of the week and if by then there is still no answer, I shall let your Lordship know.
